Euro or World Cup?

As the thread says, which one do you like better?




I think the Euro is much better because it gives countries, like latvia to evolve in the sport by playin teams like spain and stuff.It also allows them to qualify.But in the World Cup you have so many great teams that you cannot have this team in the competition because teams like Brazil and Argentina, or other powerhouse soccer countries have taken there spot.

Brazil and Argentina don't take Latvia spot in the WC, because are from other continent. Imagine if the last qualification in europe would be for the WC. Latvia would qualify. And i think in the WC are more worst team like Saudi Arabia or China than in the euro.

To Punkt: Saudi Arabia and China are there bcuz look at the continent they are on. Who else is supposed to qualify in the middle east? All the powerhouse teams in Europe like,France,England,Portugal,Spain,Germany take the place of LAtvia and other unexperienced in soccer countries.

normally yes but like i said if the last euro qualification phase was for the WC, Latvia would be qualified. Europe has 15 spots at the World Cup

The European Championships have not been around as much as the World Cup and so I would have to go with the World Cup based on a historical basis. However, realistically, only two non European teams have a shot at winning the World Cup and they are Argentina and Brazil. That seems to lead me towards saying that the European Championships are better because you get a lot of good teams playing eachother. Seriously...Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Japan, South Africa? When will these countries be able to beat a top notch team without some contorversial call? NONE ! :kader:

Like Scolari said the Euro is a World Cup without Brazil and Argentina, it's more difficult to win a euro because all games are extremely hard. But i prefer a World Cup with teams from all over the world.

I think we europeans are the most luckiest fans in the world because we have two world-class competitions each two years and the others have to wait four years because their continental cups are very far of the importance of a Euro Cup. :) and we have the best club tournaments too.
