A game decider need good team mates to provide the foundation for him to perform his magic. E.g. suppose had Barthez not saved Becks' penalty, or the France team let in one more goal in some other way, we wouldnt have seen the magic of Zidane in the closing minutes.

You know tackling and man-marking is a talent in soccer, not many pros do it as well as the Greek players (good example the Czech's in the semi, terrible marking on the goal from the corner).

Such things are only good for football-usage if you have your whole backline(For Greece 9 players), who are doing it the entire game.

Less than 2/3rds of the greek team actually played in euro. They all played well, except for Nikolaidis (now president of AEK, past his prime) and Papadopoulos (didn't really see his best, but he is better than Olisadebe). So don't bash the greek NT's players.

I didn't bash the players. I stated a simple fact. A lot of the Greek NT players will be snapped up by medium to big clubs now, because of that, and there may only be 1 or 2 of them who live up.

I can see wat ur saying, but still. Dellas was the best defender in the tournament, look at all the players he shut down. If Roma actually use him, i dont see why it wont continue in Serie A.

Is FC Porto,European Champions I remind you a medium club? They signed Seiteridis, you know.
Is Inter a medium club?Karagounis is their player.
Dellas plays for Roma, Fyssas for Benfica, Zikos(well,not in EURO, but still a greek player) played in the CL Final with AS Monaco.
Wow, what a list of medium teams...:crazyboy:
