I read in the newspapers today that UEFA could punish Chelsea in several ways, and the ones that I found most interesting were:
- Chelsea are eliminated from the CL, Barcelona plays Bayern M.
- The Nou Camp match is registered as a 3 - 0 win for Barcelona, Barcelona plays Bayern M.
- The return leg (Chelsea - FCB 4:2) is replayed.
- The result of the return leg is cancelled (not sure what happens then).

I know it's probably not gonna happen, but there's always hope. The spokesman of UEFA wouldn't have said something like this if he didn't mean it.

Of course I would like to see one of the above scenarios to happen, but what I definitely wouldn't want to see is CFC or Mourinho fined for a certain amount of money. They're Chelski, it would have no effect on them. As well as banning Mourinho for five matches in the stands. That would mean nothing.
The POS will be punished. Cocksucker.

I didn't search the net for this. I just read it in the papers today so I can't post a link.

Remember, this is only if Chelsea are found guilty.UEFA have actually put their foot in it by voicing their opinions before the hearing. When the case gets to the hearing,Chelsea will be able to claim that it is impossible to have a fair hearing because of the negative comments from UEFA.This would be construed as a mistrial and the charges would have to be dismissed. Also it could be found that Barca or UEFA are lying and in that case someone else will be facing charges......whatever happens.....punishment will just be a fine .They cannot do anything more. Why should a club with money be punished more than a poorer club that has committed the same "crime".That is not fair justice. If a rich man gets fined for speeding,he will get the same fine as a poorer man.The courts do not say"Oh he has lots of money ,lets take his house and car as well".
those options that you posted were not issued by UEFA anyway so they are journalistic fantasy.Man you would think Jose shot someone when you see the hysteria coming from people.

no, the punishment for the charges is a fine ,a precedent has already been previously set and anything more would be illegal and Chelsea would take UEFA to the courts.UEFA have ruined their case by talking too much.

Barca would never be re-admitted anyway......Bayern would qualify further without having to play Chelsea.Once you are out of the CL you are out ,end of story.....but it will only be a fine....there is nothing else UEFA can really do.Just be aware that Rijkaard and Frisk will also be investigated to see if their evidence is any good. Also remember that at the beggining of this fiasco,Rijkaard did say that he did talk to Frisk. That in itself is an offence.UEFA rules state that a ref can approach a manager but a manager must not approach a ref.....this case is not as cut and dried as you might think.

Actually UEFA is deciding if they punish Mourinho and Chelsea because they've investigated already and it's already a fact that Mourinho lied.

It cannot be a fact if the hearing has not yet been held. That is what the hearing is for....to determine the truth. The fact that UEFA has voiced their opinion already has prejudiced the the fairness of the hearing. There is to be an "independant" inquiry and it actually helps Chelsea that UEFA has publicly said that they are lying. Now the case could be thrown out because UEFA could not keep their mouths shut.As a matter of fact,Chelsea has recieved 3 UEFA witness statements also and all 3 statements seem to contradict each other so they accused Chelsea of not having consistant stories but they have done the same thing.Dont forget Roman will be bringing to the hearing the best lawyers that money can buy, hopefully much smarter than the idiots at UEFA.Maybe Chelsea will sue UEFA for defamation of character....i hope so ...i look forward to the fight....it should be fun....... :D

pede54 why don't you admit that "maybe" everything was something invented by Mourinho ... Nobody but him saw anythnig. Isn't it easier to think that everything is a lie than a conspiration?

Anyway you'll just will have to pay some money, that's all. I don't expect any other punishment, and I don't think you deserve anything harder.

I don't understand why you (all) are still talking abut this.

LOL. A spokesman of UEFA comes out and says that UEFA have not excluded the possibility of eliminating CFC, and then you say it's not possible.
I think an employee of UEFA would know better than you about these things.

I don't think only Mourinho should be banned. He works for Chelsea. And the club made profit from his actions. They are through, Barcelona isn't. But I don't really care if they punish the liar or the whole club. I just want someone punished.

And the thing you said about rich and poor people... the reason why I said CFC should be punished, not fined financially, is because a punishment has to have an effect on the person/club you're trying to punish.
If you were R. Abramovic, would you care if UEFA fined you with a few million euros? No you wouldn't. They guy practicaly prints money at home. Fining him financially would be the closest thing to not fining him at all.
I did not say CFC should get a harsher punishment than some other club would. I just said they should be punished in some other way. Something that's gonna damage them, because that's what fines are about.

I'm sorry, but it was physically impossible for Mourinho to see Rijkaard and Frisk. And because of that, it is a fact. You can't deny something that cannot be denied.

but you can't punish a club for having an idiot who invents lies as a coach. You are punishing the fans who have nothing to see with it.

Anyway why don't you discuss all this in the Chelsea thread. We don't have anything to see with it. It's been proved, if anyone had any doubt, that there was nothing strange, now its something between UEFA and Chelsea.

Oh yes, one last thing.

It's been said that there's a chance of having Chelsea expulsed from CL and bla bla...

I don't think it could happen.
I don'think it would be fair either.
I wouldn't like to advance like this. I mean, they beat us on the pitch. It could have been different if we had't made so many mistakes in the first 20 minutes or if Collina hadn't given the last goal, but those things happen and at the end of the 180 minutes they beat us, so .... I don't want to advance to next round in the offices and not on the pitch.

We don't win our titles in the offices like other teams.

I hope we'll find next season in CL again, in the final if possible. Until them good luck Chelsea and mu opinion is: be carefull with Mourinho ... maybe he'll bring you more problems than titles.

On other news, Victor Valdes is on the Verge of winning the Zamora Award, would be great to see him win that award, had an awesome season with Barca, Laporta also praised him, a couple of more CS and it should do it.

I'd like to see CFC out of the competition, that's all. Because I detest that club. I hate their manager and his methods. I know we're done with the Champions this season. I had seen us eliminated many times before so this elimination wasn't anything new. I know there's always next year, especially for our young team.
To be honest, I'd rather see CFC disqualified than us re-admitted. The way they advanced was disgusting.
But I'll stop talking about it.
