I was watching the SCG - Spain match tonight and Puyol left the field just before half-time. Does anyone know the seriousness of his injury? I hope he is well. I don't even wanna imagine what would happen if he had a serious injury and missed the Bernabeu. Our key players are always injured before Madrid. Or at least doubtful. Thanks, Lady Luck.

i think DT will know that.

BTW i think i've heard more :sb9:, Madrid and Barca challenge Chelsea for Kompany, Maybe Madrid have the slightest of chances of getting him, but i think barca have no chance of getting him, he will be a blue in the summer. :(

Puyol has a sprain in the ankle, it's sure that he won't play against Betis and we'll know today(maybe) if he will play against Real Madrid. The doctor of the NT said that it was a serious sprain and it would be for 3 weeks..

Against Betis Rijkaard will have to make a line-up without Márquez(banned), Albertini(injured) and Puyol.. I guess Gerard will be the DM and F. Navarro or Sylvinho CB.. :(

Mourinho given two-match ban

The Chelsea FC manager José Mourinho has been handed a two-match touchline ban following today's investigation by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body into incidents connected with the UEFA Champions League first knockout round first leg against FC Barcelona in Spain on 23 February.

Reprimand
Mourinho was also fined 20,000 Swiss francs (€13,000). Assistant manager Steve Clarke and security official Les Miles were reprimanded for their involvement while Chelsea were fined CHF 75,000 (€48,400).

Decision explained
A UEFA statement said: "Having listened to evidence presented by the disciplinary inspector and by Chelsea FC, the Control and Disciplinary Body decided to impose a two-match suspension and a fine of CHF 20,000 on Chelsea FC manager José Mourinho. Chelsea FC were fined CHF 75,000. Les Miles and Steve Clarke were each reprimanded. The above decisions may be appealed against within three days of UEFA informing the club in writing of the reasoning.

"As far as the touchline ban is concerned, Article 70 para 2 of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations states: 'A team manager/coach who is suspended from carrying out his function may follow the match for which he is suspended from the stands only. He is not allowed in the dressing room, tunnel or technical area before and during the match nor is he allowed to get in contact with his team.'"

Puyol could pull it off. He always recovers earlier than expected.

As for Kompany, I doubt we have a shot, except if he wants to play for us really badly and if Anderlecht care so much about him (read: more than about the money) to accept a lower bid, since we'd definitely lose a bidding war against Madrid and Chelsea.

Navarro can play both on the left and in the centre, while Sylvinho can only play on the left.

Sylvinho - Navarro - Oleguer - Belletti

It's gonna be hard against Betis. Joaquin could destroy the left side of our defense if Navarro plays there. I think Rijkaard will give Sylvinho that job.
And I'm skeptical about Gerard as DMC. He didn't shine so far...

Damià is playing in the B team. His contract was extended. He's a future good player.

Navarro? Rikaard doesn't trust in him. Me neither. I would prefer some D from the B team, like Mora.

I also don't think that Navarro is a player for a team like Barça but I would give him one last chance. He's probably the first one who is leaving this summer.

Maxi is our striker. As far as I'm concerned, that's all there is to it. We should concentrate on areas that need improvement. When we do that, we can analyse the squad and replace some players if we want to. But from what I've seen of Maxi (not much, true), he's a good player and should definitely be kept. He's 20. He has a future at FC Barcelona and could establish himself as one of the legends in this club. He has all it takes to succeed, IMO.

I hope the Pandiani rumours are not true.

Yeah, well Maxi is still young he even hasn't had his 21st Birthday yet, well i think he is the tallest player at Barca?
