I would have agreed to get rid of Motta a few days ago, but now that van Bommel left, we can't get rid of another midfielder. Motta isn't a very useful player, but he adds depth. Plus, I'm no Barca B expert and I don't know if a youngster can match Motta's abilities, so I'd keep him for this season. I think it was either him or van Bommel that left, and it had to be van Bommel because Motta is Rijkaard's favourite.

I don't think we should bring in anyone else. We're fine as it is. We don't need to add players because that would just overload the midfield. Van Bommel left because he wasn't needed, apparently. I don't see a reason to bring in someone new.

I disagree about Xavi and Deco. Xavi is not injured very often. He had that serious injury last season, but that kind of thing can happen to anyone on the pitch. Deco plays a very demanding role where he gets in contact with the opposition's strongest and most physical players. Knowing that, I don't think he's injury prone. Sure, he's injured every now and then, but he works a lot for the team, he's involved in pretty much every attack, he runs like a mad man and gets tackled more than often. I'd say Deco is a pretty resistant guy.

I can't wait for the Celta game.

Van Bommel is a good player, but not Barcelona quality, so good ridance. Makes sense that he goes over to Bayern though, since they're desperately looking for players to pick up anything thats left of their sad sad team (lets hope Pizarro leaves that crap team soon). VB will fit perfectly at Bayern. Anyways, the only reason VB ended up in Barcelona was because he's dutch, and the coach is dutch.. you get the idea.

Well there's that. Iniesta either had to take it to the next level, or be loaned out as he needs to play more. This way he will play a lot more this season with all the competitions and I think he is going to start to push Deco and Xavi to really be sharp, otherwise he could nip one of their spots (not this year, but maybe next)

One thing about X and D is that they are excellent going forward and also work very hard recovering, which allows us to play with 1 DM.

Iniesta has really improved his defensive game and I think his offensive game is already amazing.

Well I would think Edmilson is still not 100% from his surgery.....

I hope Motta can play himself back into form.

I remember he was a promising young player before the injury problems and it seems that Rijkaard is giving him a chance to show that. I Just hope it doesn't cost us too many points.

You'll notice that the threads about matches always have [R] or [P+R] in the titles. That's so people know there are predictions and/or results there and won't go there if they don't want to find out.

btw I don't know why Motta played, but this is getting annoying

Oh and, Giovanni van Bronckhorst continues being sh*t no matter when or how much he plays. He's always sh*t, all the time.

Messi played a great match today, great assist & goal by him.

Gudjohnsen goal wasn't as good as I first thought, although it was nice, it was terrible by the defender who got a foot on it but hit it like 1 meter in the air and set Guddy up, I first thought Eidur did it all himself.

CarlosDanger, why would you go to the Barca thread if you didn't want to know the result of the match???

that is crazy if I am understanding you right...
