Toure doesn't do that stupid bull ****, Busi always seems to make these mistakes at crucial moments in the game, Toure is far more solid then busquets so pep needs to get him fit... your only argument against toure is he isn't catalan, thats why you love busi more than him.

You have to admit that busi cost us the game

Thats as stupid as something like you with such sign.Guardiola explained before why he choise busi over yaya, touré its an indiscipline player, sometimes lost his mind and make winger attacks.

Busquets played awesome, deal it.

What the hell?! He was one of our best players today.

I still don't think it was a penalty... We should have kept the ball much better at 2-0 and keep Zlatan on the pitch. Henry did nothing in the minutes he was on the pitch.

We made one of our best matches in the last months , too bad we lost our lead... I'm very confident for the return leg since their best player is missing (Cesc).

Visca el Barça!

So to you both Busi and Toure in form, you will pick Busi? I don't see that

He had a good match up until he cost us a goal and the momentum, don't get me wrong Busi has the potential to be much better than Toure but he isn't there yet and sometimes you can tell how young he is. After Toure last season it would be stupid to say when he is fit he is not one of the best holding mids in the world

Wrong, its Touré who has the potential to be the best in the world in his position, actually. Busquets isn't an atletic or fast player but its ******* smart and very tactic.

The score. Until the 1-2 we were doing a masterpiece.

lol yes. Agree with that. You guys should have scored a few goals in the first half. Almunia should get the credit for that...

Whatever I prefer Toure you prefer Busi, its just our opinion.. We need to be very cautios in the return leg, Arsenal have players that can surprise and allowing them to score early can have us chasing the whole game...

BTW now that I have cooled off, that was one of the best futbol I've had the pleasure to watch, I was surprised we came steam rolling right out of the bus. A bit dissapointed that messi got lost as the game went on, he had a great start. Its time to be smart and humble and not underestimate Arsnenal at home

Btw I'm just curious. What formation did you guys play? I could see Messi in the centre, Zlatan more on the right and Pedro on the left. i remember something a bit similar in last season's final. Messi was supposed to be on the right but was mostly seen in the centre.

That's the formation we use to play in the last matches. It looks like a 4-3-1-2

With Xavi (everywhere) - Busquets - Keita in the midfield and Messi in the centre.

today were diferent. Keita were cleary on the left wing and pedro help a lot in defense, Messi and zlatan both in center. 4-4-2.

and btw, pep and wenger are good friends and the french gift to the catalan (last summer) some CD of his Arsenal tactics, maybe thats the reason of latest pep's formation changes.

Busquets is more mobile than Yaya. He's not as good at the holding role as Yaya, but he's a good mix of MC and DM. Considering that Barca dominate posession, I'd also take Busquets over Yaya for every match barring those against top sides who will push forward and won't let you rest. Arsenal is not one of those sides. Pep actually got it spot on, and I think I've made it perfectly clear that I don't rate him as a manager.

Can't be bothered right now. I've discussed it in depth multiple times though. A quick search through this thread will probably find some of them. Although I should clarify that I don't rate him anywhere near as highly as most people do. I don't meant that he's ****e.

I was so happy 60 minutes into the match ... yes, Ibra missed an absolute sitter in the first half, during a period when the Arse should have been buried under an avalanche of goals, but it was all set straight at the start of the 2nd half -- Zlatan made up for it with 2 well-taken goals, and a rout looked on the cards again ...

Walcott has only one strength: pace! it was obvious what they would try to do with him: feed it into him on the break or when he is at full pelt up the touchline, and see what happens ... all Barcelona had to do was to man-mark him, stay goal-side of him, and the threat is nullified ... but no ... the goal still could have been prevented, but Víctor Valdés' effort to save a not-too-impressive shot from Walcott was poor, and the ball snuck through ...

then, Ibra gets taken off for Henry?! wtf?! in an extremely rare occurrence, I actually agree with Eyal -- Pep is not someone I rate that much ... yes he has been very successful, but I don't think he is a tactical genius by any stretch of the imagination ... Yaya Touré has long been suffering from a back injury, and he has never been fully fit, so not picking him was no stroke of genius ... but taking off the goal-hero, when he was in form, confident, and hungry for his first hat-trick with his new club, especially to bring on a has-been, was just dumb ... Messi had not done much of note in the match, and Pedro was fading ... bad decision to take off Ibra then ... and unsurprisingly, there was no focus to the attacks from that point on ... Henry, true to form, did nothing ...

the penalty looked dubious -- it looked like Cesc had kicked Puyol in the process of shooting ... unfortunately, I have not gotten a detailed look at a replay yet ... so there is no point arguing it further now ...

very disappointing ... the Arse should have been decimated, but instead they have been given a lifeline ... still, we should be able to close it out at home ... we better, after giving this first leg away like that ...

You dont rate Pep??? Care to explain?... Even I a Madrista can see that the man is a fantastic coach, and a great motivator

Because Guardiola had the best players in the world already when he arrived. He didn't have to build a team from scratch. He had it already and just added and got rid of some players. Thats what he meant I guess.

I support Zlatan's sub as well. Whom do you want to take off? Pedro? And then leave 3 strikers upfront? Messi, Henry, and Ibra don't defend, while Pedro always gets back to defend. Add to that the fact that Messi, Henry, and Pedro are very fast players. They would contribute a lot with their speed during the last minutes.

You are right on the defending fact. But Ibra would have kept the possesion more than Henry. Possesion was the thing we needed most at 1-2, and Henry didn't do it. Messi looked a bit out of the game in the second half. Pedro also lost too many balls too.

I'm very confident for the second leg since I think we can easily qualify with that result and with the play I saw last night. We totally humiliated them in the 1st half. And I'd want to see a statistic of backheels in this match :)

Basket section played final fours in Paris, London, Madrid and Rome, wich mean we are going to win the CL in Paris again and Bernabéu one.

So, out of London, Paris, Rome, and Madrid, we haven't won the CL only in Madrid (well at least for another 2 months (H)).

may God hear our prayers...

It would be the ultimate prize for a barcelona fan to watch his team do a vuelta olympica in el bernabeu for the biggest club competition in the world. and a devastating blow to florens galacticos...

BTW now is the time to keep our head in the ground and work hard as we have done for the past year, its not gonna be an easy road and we must remain humble and do our work, I fear the second leg is gonna be alot tougher than anyone expects and the game may hang on who scores the first goal.

The next three games are like finals for us and we need to be more united than ever

@Arnau: get your ass to the camp nou for these next 2 games!(H)
