one question for barca fans........why was javier mascherano bought for that amount of money? he might be useful in the 2nd leg against us along side busquets sacrificing pedro.but still why was he actually bought??

In my opinion, such a big team should have a squad with a bench containing players almost as good as the 1st team ones. Mascherano is doing a great job in my opinion. And if Toure Yaya costed 32 mil, why wouldn't Mascherano be worth of 22 mil?

Oh and tits.
yeah fair enough BUT it was man-city bro.they bought average players with unbelievable amount of money like james milner(good player but limited potential).they buy players in bulks as if they are gonna create another club say for Manchester FC so that whatever trophy is there to be won would be between mancity and manfc.not a bad idea by the way.And 32 million for yaya is not an issue as he was a great player for barca and had a huge role in their success two seasons ago thus it was worth it. so yeah for mascherano also it was a good investment but i really think there should have been some investment in the defensive department.
and bro one funny thing i found out about italian coaches not all of them but arguably the most of them.Capello sees Carlos Wilshere as makelele and Mancini sees Yaya Toure as a second striker and Ranieri wanted to make Roma play like barca and ancelotti thought john obi mikel is andrea pirlo and lampard to be kaka then again thought essien is like pirlo.its amazing no actually surprising.where do they get such ideas and visions i really want to know.they have been in football since they were born and think of such abnormal visions.

Might as well throw them in the pot as well.

Pep either has a problem with the transfer market, or he has a problem integrating new players into the squad. Either way, it's an issue that will start to matter more and more.

What I want to know is how the **** every single team Barça plays against leaves Alves completely unmarked 100% of the time. :D
For the same reason Sergio Ramos is always open for Spain. Everybody is too busy guarding the other, better players. The difference is that Alves is actually dangerous and Ramos is not.

Both were certainly failed signings, but they weren't ridiculous purchases at the time. Ibrahimovic is a fantastic player, but his personality was a poor fit for the club. Chygrinskiy also seemed like a great promise, and frankly I think Barcelona gave up on him too quickly. Mascherano could still prove to be an important player.

I would've preferred we kept Yaya, as I believe I have stated before. But he wanted to leave, because Pep wanted to play Sergio... Then we needed a backup for him, and again, I would've liked if we went for a cheaper, younger guy, but for some reason, we got Mascherano, one of the best defensive midfielders to play as a backup. Doesn't really make that much sense, but whatever.

LOL, As photoshopped an image to make Alves' goal more offsides. Insane.

Yeah I heard about that the other day. Hilarious. Can't believe people in Spain tolerate such biased reporting.

No words have written about Keita? I(and thousands of people) think he is the worst player in Barca.
when he replaced Villa you could see it. he doesn't help the ball possesion and then Xavi must play as "2 Midfielders". he doesn't help to the defense and every time he gets the ball he pass it backwards.

I don't understand why Pep so like him, he and Maxwell are the worst players in the team, and the best examples are the 2-2 last year at the emirates and the 3-1 at the San Siro.

My preference to the 2nd leg is that Pep will play with Fontas. even playing with Valdes at the defense is better tham Maxwell at left(with all the empty places that he gives to Walcott in free).

Pep need to take chances in the next matches to Fontas, it seems that the young players are not playing enough.

My 11 for the 2nd leg:
Valdes
Alves,Puyol,Fontas,Abidal
Xavi,Sergi,Andres
Pedro,Messi,Villa
Seydou (H)
