Yes, Neymar father were invited to Wembley CL final in 2011.
I bet the invitation came with an obligatory orgy after the match, especially organized for Neymar's father.

Pep:

‘I loathe all that passing for the sake of it, all that tiquitaca. It’s so much rubbish and has no purpose. You have to pass the ball with a clear intention , with the aim of making it into the opposition’s goal. It’s not about passing for the sake of it.’

Well, reading this I kind of believe him. Here's his basic philosophy in a nutshell.

According to Pep it takes 15 passes from when you play the ball out of the back in order to get your team positioned well enough to defend against counter attacks. And by defending counter attacks, he mostly means attacking the opposition to immediately win the ball back. The 15 passes are for the team to work the ball up to the point that his CBs are positioned beyond the halfway line in the circle. At that point, Pep kind of doesn't care what his team does, and this is the biggest difference between him at Barca and Bayern. He says that he wants them to be themselves when attacking, but only attack when the team is positioned in that specific way to minimize the risk. He wants long diagonal balls to the wings, but again, only when the whole team is beyond the halfway line. He doesn't mind crossing, but he doesn't really consider crosses in themselves to be an effective way of scoring goals (which it isn't), but rather focuses more on his players attacking the rebound or second ball after a cross.

I don't think it's a bad thing as long as he comes back healthy in the second half of the season. Hojbjerg could really benefit from a month as a first choice player, and this will allow Gaudino to play too.

I think Boateng and Robben are also irreplaceable. We can find guys to cover down if they go out, but the level of play is noticeably lower. Xabi Alonso too. But that's assuming Lahm and Alaba aren't huge losses, which they are. In the Champions League those are huge blows, but we just don't have many competitive games for awhile, plus there's the winter pause.

Yeah other than the obvious shitty fact that they're injured, it could actually be a good thing for Pep because he has the excuse to rotate and give minutes to more guys.

Pep is also in love with Hojbjerg and has been tutoring the kid for a year in his old position. I'm curious to see what he can do.
