Well, atleast you got an automatic CL spot.....

BVB has finished the season with only 5 losses. Impressive.

They were in 4th place, 5 points back of the leaders with 3 games to play....they got thumped 3-0 by Wolfsburg and it really cost them...they rebounded to win 6-0 but, heading into their last game, they could not finish any higher than 5th! IT kinda showed as they drew their last game. They ended with a goal differential of +23(that's 3rd best in the Bundesliga) but finished 6th! +23 and 6th....how often does that happen!!! The draw in their last game may have even cost them UEFA Cup qualification....

Not only is Westfalenstadion(I still call it Westfalenstadion) the German Anfield but, this season, Borussia Dortmund was the German equivalent of Liverpool...too many draws.

Freiburg, Mainz, Nurnberg will promote to 1. Bundesliga(Still 1 round left).

Opposite of Dortmund, HSV has just +2 goal difference. They defeated by big scores quite much and their performance was bad since april. Also they have the least draw(x4). They will not be satisfied on 5th stage.

Well 30m is assumed. It's said that he had a clause in his contract that he can leave Stuttgart for Bayern or a foreign club for 30m. The real fee could be higher or less.

He sucks big time playing for Germany, but playing for Stuttgart he is one of Europe's best strikers.

@ Arnau, he was wearing 33 at Stuttgart, this is Breno's current number, so probably it's going to be Gomez number soon.

Elber are u sure? Anyway great strike for us! Guys, Mario Gomez is the best striker in Germany, a great player who is still 23 old, now the trouble: bye bye Luca Toni? I totally disagree, I like Luca very much......
Now we need a new RB, don't know who but I heard something about Rod Fanni (who is him?), expecially a new keeper, I hope Manuel Neuer or Timo Hildebrand, but why not Buffon? A new defender cause Breno will leave FC Bayern, van Bommel has been great like number 4 and with Tymoschuk is all ok, I dream a comeback of Marcell Jansen so Lahm could play RB too, but who will replace Ribery now? Hope he'll stay but selling Frenck now means almost 60 millions, next year means around 20........

We are going to get so much money for Ribery. Barcelona want him, Real have a new chairman, so they need to make a splash, Chelsea want him, Man City want him... all we have to do is say "top bidder gets him" and pit those teams against each other.

So Gomez, Tymoschuk, Rafinha (please?), and Enke/Neuer/Adler. And then here's my brilliant idea:

Both van der Vaart and Metzelder seem out of favor at Real Madrid and Hleb never plays for Barcelona, so let's try to get all 3.

Then next season we could see

Enke
Rafinha-Lucio/Demichelis/Metzelder (2 of 3)-Lahm
Tymoschuk
Hleb-van der Vaart-Schweinsteiger
Toni/Klose/Gomez (2 of 3)

Then Hamit, Ze, Borowski, etc as very solid reserves. That's a lot of turnover in the squad, but it brings in mostly German players, and only guys who have excelled in the Bundesliga in the past. Plus none of those guys are towards the end of their careers, but at the same time there's clearly room in that squad to accomodate Kroos when he comes back in 2010; we could slide Hleb or Bastian out, or even play a 4-3-3 since Toni and Klose are getting ancient and I'm sure Van Gaal would like to play that formation anyway.

EDIT:

After familiarizing myself with some of the rumors, I think our RB solution is Dario Srna. He played at Shakhtar with Tymoschuk for many years, and it good friends with Olic; he is also of the highest quality.

It also looks like Sneijder is pretty hardcore out of favor at Real too, so I'd take him as playmaker ahead of vdV because Wes doesn't have the history of injuries.
