Paolo what's wrong with Van Gaal? Bayern its in top of table, german cup finalist, and won the first leg against united... he is doing a good job.

I cant judge his work only by the results, we won with Manchester 2-1, and then? We sucked with fiorentina and Bordeaux and we're here only because a game with Juventus; we're in final with Bremen ok, but our history says we won the german cup 14 times, what's so new? We could easily win the Bundesliga but before smashing Schalke we losed 2 stupid matches cause we have not the roster to play so many ones, and we are forced to see Alaba, Contento and Pranjic on the field, and guys like Lahm that have played all the match this season without a bit of rest cause van Gaal declaired that he wants only 15 players while other teams got 30! Tymoschuk destroyed, Hamit too, "I don't need Lucio!", that very much 4 me, I'm very doubtfoul: is van Gaal a genious or an idiot?:)

This is a pathetic display, but we're still in the game somehow.

3-1 HT

4-3 agg

I've never seen a van Gaal team give away possession so cheaply in my life. Credit to Manchester United for some amazing pressing, but this is dreadful play from Bayern. And yet... we're still in it.

HT, 3 possibilities:

Man United guys are drugged(maybe)

We're not on the field but I know very well my players so the ghosts are edited perfectly(maybe)

I'm dreaming a bad nightmare with van Gaal sodomizing me(maybe).

Which one????? Anyway vaffanculo cause a football match is 90 minutes +extratime, why we sucked this way and we could score a goal with Olic and another one with Robben? Then......Manchester got 11 Carl Lewis's?????

Honestly, this thought crossed my mind too. Reminds me of Ajax in the 70s who could press for all 90 minutes because they were on designer stimulants. If they keep it up the entire second half I'll be suspicious, but it's possible they shot their wad in the first 45. Let's pray right.

great match between Man Yoo and Bayern ... the Germans donated 2 early goals with some very charitable goalkeeping and defending ... they let Man Yoo play their game, and were shaken by the goals and kept dwelling on the ball / failing to make a decision, and getting robbed ... it looked like one-way traffic, especially when Nani scored #3 a minute or so after Olić had a golden chance at the other end (where a heavy first touch let him down) ... they were rattled, but if they had any sense, they would realize that being down 3-0 or 2-0 makes no difference: they'd need 2 goals to progress from either scoreline ...

Olić's goal late in the half has put the match back in the balance ... 3-1 is not a bad score for Bayern ... 3-0, and it would have been difficult ... 3-2, and there would be thoughts of trying to shut down shop from Bayern, which would be a mistake ... at 3-1, Man Yoo are ahead, and they may be contemplating not being as adventurous as at the start of the match -- because it would leave spaces at the back to be exploited ... for Bayern there is no option of sitting back, which is a blessing ... they know that just one goal will win it; and in such contests, the later they score the better (so long as they don't concede before that) ...

still very tight, and still set to be an enthralling finish ...

Rafael has man-handled Ribéry in the match ... that red card, therefore, could be huge in freeing Ribéry more, and allowing him to actually get into the match (not to mention the numerical advantage, of course) ...

Born in 1983, but I've downloaded a ton of matches and read a bunch of books on Total Football. I think Cruyff is the most important football who ever lived. It's no coincidence that Pep Guardiola played for Cruyff for 6 years.
