Congrats guys.

I was just wondering whether Badstuber is your first choice left-back because the way he performed, Messi is going to have a field day against him IF Bayern and Barca are to meet in the final.

Butt's kicking was atrocious in the early stages but he recovered towards the end.

Great goal by Robben, he deserves to have a taste of playing in the CL semis. He was always absent and barely played for us, when we needed him. :(

@Arnau

For sure it was, Man U at full strenght was the only team capable of putting problems to Barca . Now u guys have a clear route to win the trophy, don't screw the chance to see Marca titles after Puyol lifts the trophy in Bernabeu :innocent_smile_1:

We really don't have any other options. It's a real shame because Badstuber has been one of our best players this season in the central defense, but his introduction to the world has been out of position and extremely shaky. With that said, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me to see Pranjic at left back if we have to play Barcelona. I can't imagine van Gaal would play Contento or Alaba. He does like the kids though, so if I had to guess I'd say LvG will throw Badstuber out and tell him he has faith in him to get it done.

With that said, Lyon will be a challenge and we cannot look beyond them. I'd say we are about even teams and Lyon are much more consistent.

Well for what it's worth, I hope you guys beat Lyon, as they have no right to be in the CL Final.

Van Gaal is a legend! you have to blind (or have glaucoma) not to see it ... his success so far (especially in Europe) comes as no surprise to anyone (myself included) who has followed his career ... he and Mourinho are the only managers in Europe who can still do the treble this season -- not that they will, but they've done very well to get to April with that possibility still alive ...

God I love him:

Ferguson's allegation was met with a swift rebuttal from Bayern coach Louis van Gaal, who was also unimpressed by the United manager's assertion that the Germans would not have gone through if their hosts had retained 11 players, or claims that the visiting team targeted Wayne Rooney's delicate ankle.

"I thought England was noted for fairness,'' Van Gaal said. "I have been confronted with three comments. It is not what I call fair play. I do not share Sir Alex's opinion. Control is part of being a professional footballer. Every player must know his job.

"If you pick up one yellow card, a second means a sending off. Every player should know that and it was a yellow card offense. It was the player who made the foul. As for United winning with 11, we will never know that, neither Sir Alex nor me, because this game will not be played again.

"It is easy to say these things after a loss.''

Wow:icon_spin::icon_spin:

You truly have the German character and fighting spirit. As Robben said it takes alot to come back from 3-0 at Old Trafford, and you guys seem to be mentaly unbeatable!

Hope to see you guys in the final, it will be a fantastic encounter, keep up the good work.

You guys look freaking scary:$

Dude, you are way too dramatic...in defeat and victory.

About the game.....Way to start i´d say...Butt saying " No worries...the keepers got it! ****...its me the keeper!!! " 1:0 .After that Badstuber got a little to excited too....but to be fair...hes young, this was his first really big game. Three defenders, not ONE watching Nani. 2:0. Then a throw-in. I guess nobody told our defense , that its legit to throw the ball with your hands towards an attacking teammate. 3:0.
And then happens something, we all love football for. Olic scores a single goal and the momentum swings totally. 3:1. The 3 goals scoring, overwhelming team all of a sudden has weak legs and no confidence. " ****.....one more and were out!!!" Now Bayern, with 11 on 10, can play the van Gaal positional system and they play it well. Its only a question of time, when the ball will hit the net behind van der Saar. But its a "Sonntagsschuss" by Robben, which will be decisive. 3:2. Revenge for 1999? I say mission completed.

BTW...i always respected Fergie as a great manager and person . But his "typical germans" phrase put him on my top ten bad losers list.

Nothing new really. He does that all the time. ALL THE TIME!

He's ALWAYS got someone to blame when his side loses....refs, opposition players, opposition manager, the English FA, linesman, 4th official.....etc.etc.

In his opinion, WHENEVER his team loses, someone MUST have broken the rules or done something very unbecoming in order to facilitate that course of action. His mantra is that it's Manchester United against the world so it's no wonder that he always finds someone to blame for his team's mishaps.

He seemed pretty gracious last year after the UCL final, I remember he had no complaints about the 2-0 loss last year.

But the comments where definately very low, I think probably out of frustration, but thats no excuse.

Hows your run in to the Bundesliga looking?

I think you will beat Lyon and Its gonna be a tough match to get there, but if we face you in the final, we need to be 21-0 up at half lol.

He tends to do when he thinks we should of won. If the team beat us out right he's usually quite gracious. Obviously losing to the away goal rule at home after winning the game with 10 men, he expects more.
