It is 2013 we are taking about here. And i wouldn't be that much ecstatic, he is only won with Barca which is not saying much. Every coach can win with that team.

He's not getting sacked. This was just supposed to be 2 years to finish off his career. Contract is up next summer.

Bayern Munich want to sign Germany international Sami Khedira but Real Madrid will only entertain their advances if Bastian Schweinsteiger is allowed to move in the other direction, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.

I know Spanish papers are full of ****, but I'd actually make this swap. Thought Khedira made it more than clear that he was the better midfielder at Euro 2012. Schweinsteiger hasn't been good since van Gaal left. Khedira is also a few years younger.

Khedira really impressed me during the EURO, as you said much more so than Bastian; yet I still get the feeling that he's not what Mourinho needs at that position. Actually, much more so now after the EURO, since he spent his time bursting forward and getting involved upfront. Schweinsteiger wouldn't work as well. Xabi is there for that. What Mourinho needs is a De Rossi or a Yaya. Sure, Touré likes to go forward as well, but his physical availability to come back down and destroy is much better than the two germans. That being said, and as I tend to like Mourinho doing good, Khedira leaving would be a good thing because then maybe Real would get someone who would really work alongside Alonso. Although keeping Khedira wouldn't be a terrible thing.

Why would you want another striker who misses chances at a Gomez'nesque pace to begin with?

And thinking that Schweinny is wrse than Khedira on a season where he was ravaged by injuries is plain unfair. If Jose manages to get him as it appears he has been on his tracks for a while now i am pretty sure him and Xabi Alonso if not Khedira will be a great pairing.
