New coach, new ideas. Reshuffling you know, and eventually when this new coach settles into his own we can hopefully see Hector back in the starting 11.

Herrera? Defour is perfoming way better. Herrera still has a lot to learn in terms of positioning and defending. Sometimes he looks like a headless chicken on the pitch. Defour on the starting XI is a much solid choice for the time being.
The defense continues with the same childish mistakes. Mangala is playing well but sometimes he complicates to much. Maicon... Lacks concentration and loses the ball on the crucial parts of the game.

Helton will take 8 to 10 months to recover from injury. We can say that he will be out the rest of this season and the 1st half of the 2014/2015 season.

Nah, I'd rather he substituted Varela like he's been doing. I hope to God Paulo Bento doesn't chose Varela for the starting XI in the summer. How ridiculous would it be to have Ronaldo on one side and fucking Varela on the other? I never thought I'd say this, but Quaresma's got a good chance. Problem is we can't afford having CR and RQ not defending.

Man what a fucking ride this game was, I was close to shitting my pants for a long part of the match.
I thought placing Ricardo on the left of our defensive line was suicidal and it was no suprise that we had major problems there. The last final 30 minutes were a joy to watch though, 2 awesome goals and a lot of good football. Excellent subs by Castro, this guy apparently knows his shit
Reyes did ok considering the difficulty of the match and how little he's played this season.
Fabiano, RQ7 and Ghilas were absolutely immense!

edit: Also, MANGALA! Fuck I missed this kind of performance from him, simply majestic sweeping everything coming his way.

I'm hoping he pulls a James and really explodes next season, but so far it's not looking exceptional. He's amazing on the ball, but we need a lot more intensity.
