for the many occasions that members have pounded the reputation of Ronaldo,Rivaldo and Veron,up comes a johnny-come-lately named Alonso,and suddenly he's a great player?
He is not even better than good.
He is just a decent player having a good season,maybe in time he might be great,but not on one season.
ManU would/should not pay 5 million for this player.

Have you even seen him play?
He has wonderful abilities. He's already played for La Seleccion, and still very young. I'd say he's the integral part of Real, above De Pedro, Kovacevic and Nihat. And plenty of Real fans would agree with me.

One of the best prospects to come along in years.

Most players in the Premiership and La Liga are terribly overpriced. If United wants a bargain they'll have to look elsewhere.

I have seen Xabi Alonso play and he is impressive, but he remains slightly inexperienced and has still to prove that he's not a one-season wonder. Andy Cole once scored 40+ goals in a season, you know…
