Do you read at all? They now want a compromise at 7pm instead of 9pm because the first change was used so we couldn’t get a flight out of South America, however we arranged one with the worlds no1 airline in QANTAS. Uruguay however have been unable to arrange a flight out themselves and have to fly commercially, the first flight being the morning after the game, while Australia flies an hour after. These are the reasons for the change, and I will sum it all up.Ruben Sosa said:The original time was 4:20pm, five hours earlier.
Arguement? I want us to play at 9pm. Read the whole posts, not only the bits you don't like.
No one is stereotyping anything. A stereotype thing to say would be that all Uruguayans spit at Australians, but that hasn’t been said anywhere. Not in our media, not by myself or others. Everyone realises their are idiots, god I got hit by a coin at a game a few nights ago, doesn’t mean the entire terrace throw coins does it?Ruben Sosa said:Yes, it was a disgrace. We apologized immediately. There's really nothing else we can do about it now. Should we stereotype the whole country for the action of approximately two dozen people?
I find it sad that what happened is constantly brought up, even when it has nothing to do with what anyone is discussing.
If you would bother read, you would know that the time was 5pm at the start, Uruguay wanted to change that to 9pm to screw up our plans we had its believed. It was changed to 9pm and now Uruguay want it back to 5pm, despite Australia making arrangements.Ruben Sosa said:We play at night. If any of you would actually bother to check you'd find that's how we've been playing for the past year.
Yea, it has gone from 4 Belgium refs which Uruguay thought was unfair because Guus Hiddink was dutch. Now its 4 Spanish refs Complaining now?Ruben Sosa said:Did we actually ask for a ref change? I've found nothing in our websites about it...
I know Fossati didn't like that one of the refs was from a neighboring country to Hiddink. I'm fairly certain Australia wouldn't have liked an Argentinean ref either.

Ruben Sosa said:Why should he? You know he's not even going to play.
if you're referring to his (ruben sosas's) argument, "we play at night" now the game might be played at 5pm, the exact time he was complaining about, saying it was not "night"pasion1 said:1) PG, it's no secret that Rob is a moron. Funny thing is that Hiddink (who wasnt even aware of most of the FFA's insults towards Uruguay) said on the Argentina press 2 days ago "Well They're (Australia) not really used to this stuff in football. The rough stadiums, spitting.......it's normal all over the world for a few people to lose control *laughs* (actually laughs)....completely normal. As long as they have respect as we will do, everything will be fine. It's a football game, not a war"
And it's funny that Hiddink called us cheaters last week.......a man being investigated for Tax Fraud! (before taking it back this morning)
Good call on that one guys.

This is what happened with the plane story.
1) Uruguay changed time to late
2) Aussies agree
3) Uruguay cant get flight as they thought and want to change back
4) Assies say "screw you" and laugh cause they think it's ironic or something.
5) Uruguay simply goes to FIFA who easily changes the time again
6) Australia bitch and cry about it saying it's not fair.
7) Australia say "How bout 7PM then?"
(Thing is 7PM suits Uruguay fine <they can still catch the plane which lifts like at night). Meaning Uruguay got what they wanted.

You wanna know the difference between Uruguay and Australia? I'd still think Uruguay would win if the game was 1 deciding game held at Sydney. Even if something were to go wrong (a failed rebound shot that caused Aussies to score and defend 11 back for the win).......Id be calm that we still have a good chance of actually winning (let alone tieing) over there.
(And I hope Vicente Sanchez plays )
Rob please respond I want to see what you write (Ill bring pop corn....I cant wait)

i'll even pick out important sections for you
"After a week of political and logistical posturing by Uruguay featuring complaints over referees, battles over kick-off times and one-upmanship over charter flights"
Already the Uruguayans had shifted the kickoff time for the first leg in Montevideo from 4pm on Saturday local time to 9pm local time after booking a charter flight convinced the Socceroos would not be able to do so themselves.
That backfiredwhen the Socceroos organised a charter plane and Uruguay's fell through, with Uruguay then trying to shift the kickoff forward again to 5pm to service their own needs and football's world governing body FIFA being hauled in to arrange a compromise.

No, what is funny is that you and your posse try and justify the act of spitting, in other threads you said it is a regular occurrence and that we should get over it, but then here you say you are apologising as if the act is barbaric and that your nation does not agree with it?pasion1 said:2) It's funny how some aussies come out here to mention about the "Spitting" incident (which was apologyzed for like 4 years ago and is old news) but then some come (after saying that they wont mention it anymore) to say "A nation that spits at another's doesn't deserve to go to the WC"

Yes, cheaters because you know, The stadium you played Argentina in had its own microclimate and the pitch was so waterlogged to negate the Argentines since you couldn’t do it any other way.pasion1 said:And it's funny that Hiddink called us cheaters last week.......a man being investigated for Tax Fraud! True, because it secured a chartered flight and believed Australia couldn’t, giving Uruguay a massive advantage in recovery should they arrive in Australia way before the Australians.pasion1 said:This is what happened with the plane story.

Yes, without any fuss unlike your nation.pasion1 said:2) Aussies agree

The Australians never said screw you, they said no because they had already gone to great lengths to plan everything in this nation such as public gatherings, and then their own logistical arrangements moving the team. This was after they had already change everything once because you changed the kick off already.pasion1 said:4) Assies say "screw you" and laugh cause they think it's ironic or something.

No, Australia contemplate changing the time to 5PM however decide not to due to its plans they had already madepasion1 said:6) Australia bitch and cry about it saying it's not fair.
However, in the interest of the game offered a 7PM kick off which would allow both teams to get out of your third world nation promptly.pasion1 said:7) Australia say "How bout 7PM then?"

Uhuh, some saliva ended our world cup dreams, yes it all makes sense now! Rob said:What argument mate?
- The argument over trying to justify a change in time? Despite the real motives of the AUF being known?
- Or the argument about trying to justify a change in the referee because you think some Belgium refs would advantage Australia?
- Or the argument trying to justify the events of 4 years ago all because spitting is common in a 3rd world nation? But was 4 years ago so it doesn’t matter now does it? WW2 was only a few decades ago, but you know its ok now, using that same thesis of an argument.
No, what is funny is that you and your posse try and justify the act of spitting, in other threads you said it is a regular occurrence and that we should get over it, but then here you say you are apologising as if the act is barbaric and that your nation does not agree with it?
So what is it
- You are sorry for it?
- Or your apologies are false because as you stated in previous threads on this forum, it is a regular occurrence in Uruguay and that we should get over it no matter how barbaric it is on your part?
Please document these insults like the Australians on this forum have document their arguments as this is just hearsay and is flimsy evidence.
Yes, cheaters because you know, The stadium you played Argentina in had its own microclimate and the pitch was so waterlogged to negate the Argentines since you couldn’t do it any other way.
Or you know? Changing the time of a kick off and then changing it back because your genius plan backfired?
Until you prove me wrong, it is a good call.

I am sure you read it, you only pointed out the outlandish stuff that was there for a purpose, everything else that was purposely logical and coherent you ignored because it made sense and was correct.
