1. no i havent
2. on Legendary the CPU shoots when it has the chance
3. if long shots was easier to score and it was harder on 1 on 1 then people would complain about that too
4. its all about timing and the correct circumstances (body position etc)
5. i have conceded goals from freekicks..

P.S. im not a bitch.

1. Ok, fair enough. I have seen it countless times, which makes me think either this strange crossing is simply being accepted by some as normal behaviour, being ignored, or it isn't happening because of perhaps some difference in the crossing settings people are using? For the sake of sanity I've got to believe the first two aren't the case, so I'm going to explore the crossing settings, trying semi-assisted and manual to see if it's any different. Regardless, the AI will still do them evey now and then...

2/3. Long shots. Well, on WC I've only scored one from the each of the box in 1.5 seasons. I've never scored from 25-30 yards apart from one direct freekick. Seems like by the law of averages and in comparison to real life that these stats are a little off. Combine that with the huge proportion of 1on1 slide past the keeper goals and the balance of goal types we see from game to game seems a little askew. The real question therefore is why should I ever attempt long shots when the 1on1s have a near 80% success rate? Maybe it's the fact that these 1on1s are just so easy to create and so successful in execution that's the problem, and not the lack of long shots or headers?

4. I think you're going to have to convince me a little more than that. Again, perhaps it's the ease of 1on1s that is making me think crossing and heading are less worth their while.

5. Hmm. Can't argue with that. Can only reiterate that in 1.5 seasons I'm yet to concede a freekick goal to the AI...

Re bitch, lol. Stop raising to the bait then.

Look, my team, AEK Athens, last year in almost every game had a shot on post, and scored 2-3 freekicks the whole season, i mean some things are random, some situations, even if it seems strange.

have you practice free kick in training? have you practice corners in training for the headers?
take a look this freekick tutorials, maybe they can help you http://www.guiltygamer.com/tutorials/fifa-11/

As for the 1 on 1, im playing with Leeds and in twelve games the CPU has lost a fair amount of 1 on 1 goals, yesterday he even lost one after he dribbled my GK too!

ive seen the crosses you are talking about, its beyond bizarre to say the least.
it plain & simple defies physics.

the things i have to say i hate the most is the way the cpu can trap the ball & take off immediately, as opposed to the human who for some reason takes a second before you can be on your way.

I know what you mean. After all the hard work you did with FIFA 10 PC, it's hard to play a game with little control over the a.i. that has dumbed down many of the fine tuned transitions of FIFA 10 PC.

fun & challenging game of world class or legendary, but by no means realistic at all.

its like a team golf competition, cpu is a bunch of tiger woods & human team is a bunch of 5 year olds.

With the exception of NHL 11 and EA MMA, it's hard not to be let down with the direction that EA has taken it's sports games. Very few will admit it, but as far as I am concerned, the PS2 engine of Madden, NCAA Football, and FIFA have much more potential than the next-gen alternatives that are the "money-makers". Ten years ago, when it was just PC and PS2 just came out, it was about making money, but it was also about making a quality game. Whoever developed the early FIFA games with ai.ini and it's recognition of many parameters is the true hero. The PS2 engine allowed programs like CM10 or DBM10 to be made. I'm sure some tools will be made for FIFA 11 PC, but it'll be different and will have to be made differently.

FIFA 11 PC sounds like a more limited game than FIFA 10 PC. I'm sure there are improvements to the interface and team management screens, but i don't think it's that revolutionary compared to what was there in FIFA 10 PC. I find it hard to believe that the gameplay can stack up with what has been done with FIFA 10 PC thanks to the structure of the game and the modding community.

I thought I was the only one noticing this kind of AI behavior.

Fifa 10 was far too easy on legendary, fifa world cup and fifa11 they couldn't up the AI that much, so they upped the cheatin, worst thing is, it can also happen on player vs player matches.

I like to be beaten fair and square with good football, not to be cheated my way out of a champions league or any other match, its terrible really, the fouls from behind I had without any card at all and all that you said its just stupid whoever thought that was a good idea to code.

Freekicks don't seem to work properly in this game - far too often, they go over the bar. As to the other stuff, can't say I agree - at least not since using Fidel's 'PS3' gameplay patch - bit of a misnomer, since it doesn't make the game as good as the PS3 version, but it sure as hell improves it in the areas that concern you. AI headers and long range goals/shots are common now, but not too common - same for player headers/long range shots or goals. The defensive lines appear improved as well.

Please Guys, Take a Breath. It's just a game. Enjoy your life and be happy.
Cheers

Well said. It's just a game, and it's so far improved over the dross that masqueraded as Fifa on the PC over the past few years!
