As for T-Bones - must be an American reference, they were off the menu in the UK for a while in the 90s with the whole Mad Cow Disease business.

I hope you lot have spent some time playing the game and don't just mod it. I played it last week, but now I get the dreaded crash to desktop occuring and can't use the thing.

most are the same, some new data has been given to us this year, so you need to find those ids.

Load the Language loc file of your choice then search for the info pertaining to your selected tournament and then change it to what you want.

I didnt know you were talking about the db, you can edit that in the competitions or tournaments tables, I forget what they named it this year.

unlink them from uefa region & link them to the country in compobj ttext.

and closed and looks that were several attempts

looking at the structure of the copa america, and see if the alteration to make some for her to be enabled in tournament mode, also noticed that there are lines like tables fce, especially compettioninfo, beyond the tables tourn licensed and licended stages

Hi..Sorry i've got a question: is the number of Teams in a league written in the combobj file or were? For example: i change the id of new League (16 teams) with the id of the Premier League. And i change also the relink of Teams. But when i start a carer Mode the League has 20 places...4 are Free.. So ist Crashs.

you have to change info in all the compdata tables if you are changing the amount of teams from the default amount to a new amount, its not a simple task.

Thought I'd bump this thread as I've started really studying these files and planning how I'm going to go about editing my game... also I don't want to clutter jschuck's FIFA America thread with discussion about the compdata files...

My goal, if possible, is to completely rebuild career mode to my liking. Basically, this is the jist:

- Remove all domestic cups to use the IDs
- Add X number of new domestic leagues, some in Europe, but most under the other Confederations
- Add Champions League for each confederation; rework qualifications
- Replace Confederations Cup with World Club Cup; qualify from Confed CL
- Replace Europa League with "World Club Challenge" ... basically Europa League, but expanded, and with teams form each Confederation represented...
- Add X number of National Teams, rework existing Confed tournaments and WC qualifying



This is obviously very ambitious, but since it's a personal project I have all the time I need. Plus, I've only really play Player career, and had FIFA 12 had National Team play, I'd still be playing Jschuck's patch on it... If I can take my time and actually get this done, I'll get years of play out of FIFA 13, and won't have to purchase again for awhile...

Anyway, you guys know more than I do at this point, but I'll contribute anything I learn that I think is new... thanks for the research already done, it's really helped me get started...

Nah I get it, but it's not a waste of time to me... I enjoy the challenge, and I'm learning... in the end I may not be able to pull off exactly what I want (TBH I don't expect to), but in the process I'll def. learn a ton, which is what I'm really trying to do... i applaud your desire to make it happen, what i am saying is we would not be telling you it would not work if it would.

if you are simply doing it from a learning standpoint then by all means attempt everything you can.

all i can say is keep expectations low so you do not let yourself down.

i was hype over the fact the game went next gen until we found these limitations and it has really killed my desire to edit.

I am interested in adding a new league without completely wiping out the old one, so, based on somebody's plan in the older posts, are the domestic cup ID's the same as the league ones? If I remove 2 cups from the game can I add a new league and cup? It would be much, much more convenient.
