FIFA 2003 Tricks

I have bought Fifa 2003 a week ago and it took me some time to figure it out. (I am talking about the PC version)
SPACE is the trick button and it works when your player is just near the opponent. For sure it works if you double tap it, but I think it can be done with only one touch. It doesn't mean that you go right through, but you can see your player trying some amazing moves and sometimes it is a delight to see him go through 2 defenders and score.
For overhead kicks you have to hold A.

I don't know if it is possible to curl the shots. Beacause they keep missing from right outside the box when I try to shoot in the opposite side of the net. And it was nobody in front and...Raul. I even put a control on the other side and kept trying to score without the defenders bothering me too much ) ...and nothing. So I think maybe you have to curl the ball. If you know something please let me know. Thanks!

i wish people would read the damn manual that came with the game...maybe then we wouldn't have to answer n00b questions like:

"why does my player just kick the ball forward when i press the right analog forward?!"

Cool features with the right analog stick. I was playing a game and while retardedly rushing right into a defender with Zidane (I'm still getting used to the sprint control okay?!), I tapped the right analog stick forward. That sly bastard spun right around the defender and deftly booted the ball in! Anyone else stumble across crazy moves like this? Is that one reserved for Zidane/good strikers only and how do I do them again?

I think the shooting control is touchier than ever. I do know that you have to direct your shot towards the goal in the same way that you would use the "pass through" button. I would recommend pointing more towards the middle of the goal and gunning it (not too much of course ).

Once when I was playing with the mighty spurs I did an easy pass to Robbie Keane and kinda pressed shoot and held it past the red and he scored.:Bow:

i did the same thing off of a corner kick with Pascal Cygan (Arsenal), and i was standing on the penalty mark.

also, regarding the spin move that has been reported:

there are certain players that have certain moves that they do in real life...well, Zidane happens to do the spin in real life so it is his "special move" not everyone can do it. there are others that can do it, but Zidane is the only one i know of so far that can do it.

i've not had the opporitunity to see anyone do a spin, i just know that Zidane can do it, and you say Ronaldo can too. Maybe i should just put it on World Class, and play a Brazil vs. France game, and see what happens.

i'm too busy playing Premiership and UEFA matches with Arsenal though. this game r0x!

I definitely managed to get Veron to perform a spin using the Right Stick. I am playing the Xbox version.

hey MARC.. i'm pretty sure I can remap my buttons.. I didn't see my Thrustmaster Dual Analog Power controller in the supported list... I don't think anyway.. so i'll try remapping my right analog to what you said and see what happens...

I would email EA if I thought they would ever reply to me and/or fix my problem.

o.k... update... I went to my thrustmapper software and for the right analog stick.. it only lets me switch it to RZ and Slider0 .. so that's maybe why...

Still... there should be support for this conroller.. it's not like a lot of people don't use the thing.. i know tons of people that do.. maybe i'll try emailing EA or posting on their forum...

or possibly email Thrustmaster and see if their next thrustmapper utility will support me setting up right analog as RX and RY...

yo ur saying u have the dual analog stick.. ive installed that one for a friend of mine a few days ago.. u can do all the tricks without remapping ur right analog stick u just have to press it... when a player is close to move to a certain direction and press the right analog BUTTON! i myself have a firestorm wireless the special moves button is at the back of the controller ..the right one.. anyway its a button u press for the special move in combination with the LEFT analog stick

here are some cool tricks : u can outrun ur opponents with the special moves button works most of the times better than the sprint button press and release it continiously u will see that ur player runs faster...

i can do all moves with certain players ive played with:

ronaldo, ronaldinho: holds the with his foot than heels it forwards sometimes between the leggs of the opponent..

saviola : 1 scissor and a step forward

rivaldo: 2 fluwent scissors and a step forward

henry: 2 scissors with a fluwent run

davids: delightfull move to the left and pushes it forward..

owen: fake boddy move left right..

mendieta: fluwent 360 maybe 280? lol kinda like zidane but smoother

zidane: well we all know that one..

svetjenko: a quick footmove kinda like ronaldos but a bit diffrent...

del piero: fake body move with the ball between his leggs like okocha in "94

ps i can do all these moves in real life 2


if uve seen or done any other move please post it

stupid thing about the game is u cant do headers when ur standing allone or head the ball towards the goal in corner situations never managed to do that to score from a cross is easy though press the player run botton an swing the ball in the penalty boxx tap the shoot button and viola

yeah.. I knew I could do moves that way already.. but it's such a pain in the ass to do it that way. Sometimes it's tough to time and my player moves to the left or right or whatever before doing the move because i press that direction a second earlier than the button.. so he does a special move away from the net!!!

I would much rather use the right analog stick like they advertise in the game!!

Flying headers occur quite rarely, but that's just realistic.
So far I have succeeded in commiting two flying headers, with Nurmela for Finland and Nuno Gomes for Benfica.
I've also done some really nice long shots, even perfect uppercorners, but those too ooccur really rarely.
