FIFA 2004 is great...

...as a coaster for my glass. Works very well actually. Does not stick to the bottom of the glass as most coasters do. And it even comes with a backup coaster should the first one develop any faults. The pretty pictures of footballers on it are nice too, and make things a bit more interesting. It even comes in a nice slim line storage case, a first for a coaster i believe. Bit pricey, but it is branded and supported by professional footballers, so i guess you have to pay a bit more for that. I hear they will be releasing another coaster set next year, and i plan to buy that too. Can't wait.

They'd be like:

Sorry, but these coasters do not actually work with cold drinks. Or hot drinks. Or drinks of an average temperature. But, we are proud to say they look EXACTLY like a real coaster and have an authentic coaster label on them.

Get PES3 (out on PC on 17th November in Europe). It's a million times better than FIFA on gameplay, so why play a poor imitation of it?

I'll give you a dose.....

For starters the navigation menus flat out suck. They are tedious and disorganized.

There is NO (let me repeat this) NO option to configure your gamepad in-game. NONE. You are stuck with the default buttons, and god help you if you don't have a gamepad that EA decided to support.

And forget about the gameplay. The ball rockets around like a pinball. FIFA Pinball 2004 might be a better title. I won't even mention the AI and other stuff, just suffice to say, it sucks too.

But the graphics and the stadiums and players look pretty tho!

y is it that in pes3 there definition of making the game harder is the ref not giving the user any calls and on some of the through passes the players just stand there and wait for the ball y dont they run to it
y do players get tired so fast like since when does becks get subbed for fatigue

If PES is so great why do all the PES lovers spend most of their time here posting about it instead of playing it? I think its pretty stupid to bash video games you either like one or you don't. Personally I played Winning Eleven here in the states for about a week and never played it again. Granted the game play was good but the graphics sucked. If I want realism I'll go to the park and play if I want to have fun at home I want good graphics, licenses, logos, etc.

graphics are a matter of opinion, I personally think PES3 graphics are miles better than FIFA's. FIFA has robots, funny shaped bodies, zombie looking movements, scripted motion capture etc. and their heads, apart from being a size 14 mellon, look as if they're not attached to the body.

Club Football has all the licences, why don't you play that?

Licences don't matter to us football fans, we enjoy the sport and how its played...something FIFA cannot hope to replicate with any degree of authenticity. So their logos etc. are about as much use as tits on a ball.

hmmm, thats the purpose of not only this thread, but the whole sub-forum.

I say start the arguments, offer objective evaluations, valid criticisms and sound arguments, because this way PES will undoubtedly come out on top and EA will be forced to finally make a football game, not a FIFA game.

Are you guys football fans or FIFA fans? there's a difference...
