FIFA 2004 Rosters Update by Jomi

Hi guys,

I hope you have read todays news at www.fifa04.com :). Jomi has created an incredible roster update patch for FIFA 2004, the patch is available at
http://downloads.fifacz.com/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=87 (32 kB only)

The patch is made with the in game team management.
It updates the following leagues :
Germany, France 1 + 2 , Italy , england , Spain, Holland,Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland,Scotland,Austria,Belgium ( all the teams )
And the teams in Rest of the World ( except Polonia and the unknow Greek one )
also 9 principal teams in Norway and Bahia Corinthians and Cruzeiro in Brazil.

All the teams are updated according to the actual season. It should be pretty accurate
It is made with the help of the stats site Soccer association .com ( a pay site where Jomi is a subscriber )

That was a hell of a job because EA messed a lot of things in the player's positions
Jomi has made transfers which were not in the game ( Swap transfers ), in the patch there are no goalkeepers on the substitutes bench.

Jomi is making regular improvements according to the reality.

New version will be released soon, with all international teams updated, and the norwegian league will be finished. During next days, Jomi will be making the Brazilian league and checking again the 5 big ones of the game.

How do you like it? Please post your comments, what should be improved? Jomi is gonna make an update so all possible bugs can be fixed. Thanks.

many users ask me where to copy the rosters file

Instllation:
------------
Copy the "roster0" file into your ..\Documents\FIFA 2004\user\ directory

Windows 9x/Me ENG: c:\Documents\FIFA 2004\user\
Windows 2000/XP ENG: c:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Documents\FIFA 2004\user\

where %user% is your Windows login name

the Portuguese league is not so easy for me to work on, there are a lot of key players that are missing and it's not so familiar to me
I will try to fix some of the mistakes in the future.

The transfers I have made are those according to real life.
They don't involve important players cause they are already in the right teams. There were a few forgotten transfers in the French league for ex.,but it deals about players that fast nobody know except the specialists.
My roster update is aimed to replace the original database of EA.
You install it and then you can play your career mode and do what you want with your transfer market.
IMO, career mode is not satisfying because too incomplete and unfinished, It's just a trick to make you buy EA TCM manager game with the long awaited fusion mode

hey jomi...u got lots more work to do buddy. Haselbaink is still not in starting lineup in Chelsea, and also Drogba is not in starting lineup with Marseille. I bet theres few more players that u forgot about.

You are wrong. I have installed again my update and checked it out. Hasselbaink and Drogba are in the starting eleven !
Maybe you have accidentely reset the original settings or make yourself changes.
Or maybe you need a good pair of glasses
;)

Probably something went wrong.
There is absolutely no change in the starting line-up of Ajax, and I can tell you Grygera is NOT an attacker.
None of the Dutch teams have accurate line-ups, while Breinburg from Volendam is actually a youth player from Feyenoord.

No critics, just remarks. Anyway, you're doing a way better job then I could: Furthermore decent patch.

Bolerus, it's just the Premier League which is updated.
Sorry, but I have no interest in the other divisions because I never play career mode. I don't like it.
I just made the French 2nd division for fun and because I am French but I don't play with these teams anyway.

I don't have these problems. Everything is working fine with me.
Maybe it's because you are playing career mode, I don't know.
Try to delete your user folder ( don't forget to make a copy before otherwise you'll loose all your settings and career mode
roster in case you have one ) and install the patch again.
You should see the changes . Grygera is RB,in my patch I'm sure !

Jomi and Lukas, question to you guys . You noticed the folder where to put roster0 only for ENG version of Windows... What about other language versions? Any idea? I ask it because i dont see changes after installing the update. And i dont play career either...
Please help me if you can.
