I don't play career mode so I did not test it this way.
Now try this : Have you a career mode running ?
Make a back up of your User folder so you can later go back to your career mode if you wish
Delete your User folder
Start Fifa , so you gonna have a new User folder
Make your option settings once again ( level, camera etc... )
Copy my file in the user folder so you gonna start with the modified files instead of the original ones
Start a new career
And tell me if it's working this way

Jomi, thx, i found out my problem.. it was the programm fifa2004 customizer, software which allowed to choose changes and game settings easily... When i removed it-- i've got all your roster update working.
But as i noticed you have not added any missing players names? You just changed line ups ?

Yes, I just re-arranged the line ups to make them more accurate
It's impossible for the moment to add players.
We have to wait for the Creation Center or for an editor made by the community like Fcdb XP ( S.Cadilhac ) ECP dbi ( Hercules ) or Fed ( Chau Lee ) or maybe another one from a new guy

Roster Update Patch for FIFA 2004 with help of the Ingame Team Management.
It updates the following leagues: Germany, France 1 + 2, Italy, England, Spain, Holland, Portugal,
Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland, Austria, Belgium, Norway and Rest of the World

Newly updated in version 2.00:

3 new leagues : the MLS, the Brazilian league, the English 1st division
All the teams in the international section have been updated according to the last results (Euro, Gold Cup,...)
7 big leagues verified

Some comments:
--------------
The 7 big leagues of the games (ENG; ITA; FRA; GER; SPA; POR; HOL) have been completely re-worked according
to November real life matches as well as some big clubs (Celtic, Rangers, Anderlecht, Sparta Praha, Galatasaray,...)
That's why you won't find stars players as Desailly or Scholes in the starting 11 of their clubs.
Feel free to modify the line-ups if you don't like that feature.

Because I'm just working with the in game management, it is IMPOSSIBLE to create players, modify their standard
positions, the jersey numbers or choose the captain.
We have to wait untill the Creation Center is out or some other editor which could read the DBI files.

I've made quite a lot "swap transfers" to update the English 1st division
As you know, we can only exchange players between teams at the moment.
That's why you will find some "mistakes" in certain teams. Just ignore them and don't use these players.

it doesnt work with already started careers cuz when the career started you selected original rosters and you cant change it now.

if you start a new career, the game will ask you if you want original or custom rosters, select custom and you'll be able to load the new roster file.

yeah, it is written in the readme. It's not problem

About career mode:

You HAVE TO start a new season in order to play with the new rosters.

yeah I know. but he probably asked because remember that the first version doesnt have a readme.txt. you wrote it here after releasing it.

i have accidentally uploaded the first version without readme, but just a few hours after the release I have inserted the readme to the package. The rosters patch 2.00 of course includes detailed documentation too.

maybe you can use this site for ratings help. it is for PES but it will give some ideas.

Thanks northstar,
It's impossible at the moment to fix the player's attributes.
I'm waiting for CC and I will probably try to base my ratings with those used in Championship Manager in the future because I think they are pretty accurate.
It is also helpful to view some great sites like Soccerage,Soccerassociation, UEFA or great sport newspapers sites . It's a lot of work but a lot of fun also
I remember I did that for Fifa 2002 and the game became really enjoyable because there was a difference between the teams
