Have a look at the Roma vs. Juventus match. There are quite a few passes back and sideways in that match. Of course there won't be a huge load of backpasses because the game is meant to be played within 10 minutes rather than 90. But surely you can notice a difference to the "full steam ahead" approach from FIFA 2004? In FIFA 2005 the AI now seems more patient and they go via the wings more which is nice to see.
