Having a second season issue in career mode playing with the Columbus Crew. While I won the MLS Cup in the first season (via playoff, not Supporters Shield), it doesn't look like I've qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League in the second season. Seattle, Salt Lake, Toronto and LA have all qualified, but I have not. Any ideas?

Background:
- Installed full package with update. Originally, the game crashed on startup, until I selected "Fix Installation" in Origin. Has been working perfectly since.
- I can see CONCACAF A and the Champions League in Crew Career Mode
- CONCACAF B has all the right teams and is still categorized under the United States leagues, but its display name is "K League."

You have issues if you see anything that says K League because I changed all that information in the loc english file, unless your trying to use a different language than english which will be an issue. When you had origin fix the install that may have changed teh loc back so I dont know because I dont play with modded db's in Origin because it causes an issue but I do suggest you disable origin ingame when using teh patch but you need to reinstall the "loc" folder so everything shows correctly otherwise you will most likely see other issues as well. About winning the playoffs and not qualifying you need to read the readme in the download file because I believe I just used the 1st-4th place finishers from MLS that get entry to teh CCL but Im at work so I am not sure but I dont think I gave the winner of the playoffs entry even though that is how it works in real life. I believe when I tried I could not get FIFA to use the playoff winner due to the way the league structure is set up , but I cant remember because its been a while.

open this file in patch.big - eng_us_upd.db & edit the k league name to the correct name.

you will need the db & xml & place them in the original loc folder & test it in game after you regenerate.

I have origin and I'm getting the instant crash upon hitting play that I keep reading about. Is there a good fix for this. I really want to try and play your patch.

You either didnt regen properly or your using the Euro dlc and you need to read the top of page 1 of this thread. I know of one person who had this issue and they fixed it but they said they dont know how they fixed it so read the thread and send them a pm.

It is neither of those. Anyone with the retail copy of the game and having it crash on start is because of origin having its mits all over the game. (And a update that origin pushed) Its the fifa 12 exe causing it. Joseph2883 I got your pm. Do what I said and the patch will work fine. Anyone else with that problem just send me a PM.-

Side note: is the patch upgrade dead in the water?

Im not going to argue with a newbie so let me be very specific for those running the Euro DLC. I CAN GUARANTEE IF YOU RUN THE EURO DLC PATCH ON YOUR FIFA THE DLC FOLDER CONTAINS DIFFERENT FILES THAN THE OLD DLC FOLDER I HAVE IN MY PATCH SO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON PAGE 1.

The update isnt completely dead but V1 of CONMEBOL leagues will be uploaded on FIFA Argentina. I will be taking superleagues for CAF and AFC from Veggt and B2y and incorporating into my db that has CONCACAF and CONMEBOL superleagues so all Confederations will be represented. As soon as they get me files I will work on it.

Glad to hear it, there is so many things that can go wrong and the Euro dlc issue is one I have recognized since getting the dlc. Enjoy and glad Madelynn helped, you will do others a favor by posting the fix on this thread.

I also have full Copa Lib, Sudamericana, and Recopa as well along with all my CONCACAF stuff. Should release this weekend.

Taz I will use what I want, when I want from FIFA Argentina FIFA America patch as me and Reg spent months working on that patch and I have in writing from him I could use whatever I want. Did you make anything in his patch, if so what did you even make because he does all his own graphics. Also if you make any other stupid posts I will make Emi and FIFA - Argentina take down the patch I created and revoke the ability to use it which will really piss them off and will come back on you for running your mouth. Dont ever post to me or threaten me.
