So guys... As my FM luck doesn't seem to be on a high, I couldn't load the Succession game because, well, basically I'm a thief!

But I really need to get started with a new game, I'm in withdrawal here! So I wanted to ask you fellas if there was a game you would really like to see played! (just don't say french 7th division haha!)

I guess. Starting at what level?

edit: better yet, starting at what country? I don't fancy another lower league right now..

Load up whichever nations you want (you can remove and add different ones as the game progresses). I suggest loading a few at different levels of league rep, start unemployed and holiday until you get an offer (shouldn't take too long). Remember to start with the lowest manager rep.

Back in FM07 I actually had a really fun game in the MLS with Columbus Crew. The whole draft thing can be quite fun if you're looking for something different. I remember I enjoyed the challenge of assembling a team that could win the championship through a draft, picking and scouting the right players. There's parity so everything game is a challenge. I lost interest after two or three seasons though, and never considered doing it again... may pick it up this year.

I think in general the scouting is very poor from the USA researches which makes it a lot less fun. And the rules are very unusual. But yeah, if you're looking for a challenge then MLS is a mighty one.

Just browsing Wikipedia to see what the MLS is up to (looots of new stadiums):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPL_Park
''The stadium is unique for its peanut butter and jelly sandwich stand.''

I think you have found your club.

It's a cool stadium though (the location anyway):

And the Portland Timbers stadium is really cosy:

I don't know if it's reflected in FM, but from what I hear the only good fans in the league are in the Pacific Northwest: Seattle and Portland, possibly Vancouver who I think are new this year. I don't think Seattle plays in a "soccer specific" stadium, so they play in an NFL ground and block off all the upper decks which looks bad IMO. I'd say Portland would be the best club to manage.

Also, this happens after every goal:

Beware of sawdust and refs might want to think twice about awarding soft penalties at this ground. Don't want to piss off the huge man with the chainsaw.

Well then.

It was a long, busy night of negotiations back and forth from the Iberian Peninsula all the way to USA's West Coast. America was in the edge of its seat to find out if the rumors were true. And if they were, there was only one question left. Where would he go? The frenchman-driven Red Bulls? The galáticos Galaxy? Well, one man begged to differ and in the end, that man got what he wanted. You just can't say no to the richest man in the World.

"Excellent."

It was settled, then.

America. Fuck yeah!

The flight was long, exhausting, but it finally came to an end. It was morning when the plane hit the ground at Tacoma International, and by God it was a beautiful morning.

Ribeiro was taking charge of the Sounders. Would it be the beginning of the end? Or the start of a legend?

So, getting settled, working out how the **** to buy and sell players and that. But Ribeiro's arrival in the MLS is already having its effects! Pussy Donovan flees the league, afraid of the inevitable future domination of the Seattle side. Although It's also been reported Ribeiro moved some strings in the backstage of the MLS to get him out and sent to Munich, as a personal present to friend and now fellow US resident Shifty*i.
