So, 20 rounds and this is what the table looks like:
Only loss was against Napoli, who got me at my most frail time, where I had ALL my strikers unavailable (if you discount Pepe as a winger).
And it was only a 1-0 loss from a Lavezzi penalty. So all is well in Torino
A quick round-up through the XI:
Storari: Amazing. 6 goals in 20 games? Gigi who?
Grygera: Solid, not as intervening as De Ceglie, although they both have the same instructions.
De Ceglie: Quickly earned his spot ahead of Grosso and hasn't let go, great potential.
Chiellini-Barzagli: Storari has been amazing but he has much to thank the duo. The binaconeri wall at the back is almost always impossible to go through with these two. Only big mistake was curiously in the match against Napoli, Chiellini conceded the penalty.
Sissoko: Only rarely does this beast give any chance for Marchisio to step in; and only because of the occasional ban. The rock that holds down the fort at the back so the front can work its magic.
Krasic: One of the best. Leading the Serie A assists rankings so far. Lighting fast.
Pepe: Great partnership with De Ceglie. The left side is better attacking than defending, but that doesn't hurt one bit seeing as I'm dominating most games.
Pastore: The argentinian wizard has been building up steam ever since his slow start of the season, which he got because he arrived too late to work all pre-season with the team. Still, indispensable in
every attacking move.
Quagliarella: Another player who quickly earned a not-initially-given spot. Spearheading most attacking moves, had a bit of a goal draught that saw the team concede a few draws.
Del Piero: Embodies the return of the
Vecchia Signora to the spotlight of Italian football. Team's top scorer with almost one goal every two games. Can this be the
Pinturicchio last top-flight season, and perhaps his best?
This team has me being talked about as a replacement for Van Gaal at Bayern and Guardiola at Barça!
