Competition for Konami is welcome given FIFA's contribution to the equation is purely licenses. Another game that will provide gameplay competition will only push Konami to try harder for us...

well we wait and see on that score , but as I have said over and over. I have never tied myself to anyone product , the only reason I bought EA's FIFA series for year was because I could not get Konami's PES on PC. If this turns out to be as good ( and it looks as good) I will buy it , I just love football and playing football games. Thanks to PES3 on PC I finally had a game worth playing, but as I said if this does turn out the way it looks and the movement and those through ball just looked the business I will be getting it ....But until it proves itself, PES4 is for me...
To 4ell even if this game is as good as it looks , I will still buy PES4 for my PC and my Son's Xbox!

the net animations look fantastic. from that video though things seemed a bit too fast for my taste. but maybe that's just the way the action has been digitized.

or the through ball in PES3 are awful, and so is the runs off the ball of your forwards ( take that back , forward seldom make runs off you )....
I love PES3 its the bad game out there , but the through balls and the running off the ball . Ive had my midfielder run with the ball the 2 forwards sp;it to the side of him and just stay there , Ive even got up by them and there side standing or they split either side and then peel back the way.....and that is with "ALL out ATTACK" and everyone expect my back 3 , with the little arrows pointing forward for them to attack at all times...

hey mighty... a little Freudian misspelling there?
in general it cracks me up how people on this forum always have to make clear *first* that they "love" PES, and that it's "the best" out there, before they start critizising it...
as for the through balls... i agree. IMO they suck in PES. Seems in FK you have the option to determine strength and length of your triangle pass through a standard shot indicator... not exactly a mind-blowing innovation, huh, Konami?
(i am sure, though, someone will come up with a good explanation why the through pass in PES is so good...)
and i forgot to mention: PES is the best game out there and i love it....
