Bridgestone Red Tyres - Sport Relief

Here's more information about the Sport Relief event. Bridgestone produced these red tyres for this special event.

Bridgestone UK has teamed up with Jordan Grand Prix to 'Go the Extra Mile' for Sport Relief, running a series of competitions in the national media and producing a specially-made red tyre to mark the occasion.

Bridgestone's red tyre demonstrated the thought and effort that went into organising the event and the engineers in Japan were determined to make sure they did as good a job as they could.

The tyre was delayed as the Japanese engineers sought perfection and Bridgestone F1 Press Officer Rachel Ingham said: “It was close call getting the limited edition red tyres here in time. As our engineers knew they were for Sport Relief they were determined to get them just right.

“We will, in fact, be including one of the tyres in the Sport Relief F1 memorabilia auction and hope it will attract a great deal of interest. After all there is only four of them in the world!

The sprit is the key factor in the 3rd sector. He will probably come in earlier to the box than the others behind him.
