This kid needs to shut his damn mouth and learn some respect. There was no way he was going to make the senior team even if he played well this year. He needs to realize that he is NOT the next Pele and is not even the best young prospect in thw world.

What the **** are you guys talking about? Read the damn article and you can see that he's complaining about the lack of playing time at D.C. United and he's very right about that, he's not getting a lotta minutes and isn't starting games like he was earlier in the season. Soccernet does a great job at writing misleading articles and does it again this time. There's only one small reference to a possible WC-squad selection, one that obviously came after the reporter asked about it. Read along children.

I'm with Arash on this one.

The truth is that Freddy deserves more playing time than Nowak is willing to give him - especially with Esky missing for most of the season. Obviously there's tensions between Nowak and Adu.

There have already been rumors of an Adu-for-Gaven trade with the MetroStars, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.

Adu is right to bitch, and I'm glad he did - we need some controversy in this league, dammit.

How many succesfull 15-year old rookies have you had in your league? The kid is frustrated because of lack of playing time. I think his frustration is warranted with all the hype around him.

Hes too good to even play in the Mexican league, already on his way to Europe. Golden boot at Peru. And a 15 year old either played in the MLS because hes THAT good, the MLS sucks THAT much... or the league just wanted some attention.

Honestly, how many 10 year old leagues are amazing? The NHL had 6 teams when it started. And it sure as hell wasnt a popular, succesfull league in 1925.

I cant stand it when people tell me that the MLS sucks.

MLS is not even a League, IMO. Four Reasons: 1. Only 12 teams 2. 8 out of the 12 qualify for playoffs 3. No relegation 4. No promotion.... You can call it Major League Soccer but that this still doesnt make you a league IMO....

Did England start off in 1905 with the EPL, Championship, 1st div, 2nd div, conference, 20 teams per division, with relegation and promotion?
