Love the fact that while french and swiss governments enjoy their time being "know-it-all" in terms of democracy all over the world, they are enslaved by a community for accepting a code of congress about "denying genocide claims"... so regardless of your nation, should you be in switzerland or france and say "I believe there is no genocide for that community", you'll be commiting a crime and you'll be imprisoned.. :dragan: :fluffy:

Basically Turkey killed ALOT of Armenians, and many Turks deny this ever happened. You know, like the white nationalists deny the Jewish Holocaust.

France and Switzerland are working on/have on the books laws that would punish anyone who denies the genocide.

Turkey claims it never happened, and by doing this they could block their entry into the EU.

Yes cus, it happened, and yes cus, it needs to be discussed. How Turkey gets away with all this crap is mind blowing, yet if a western nation screws up they get burned to bits over it.

On the federal level the US and UK don't recognize the genocide in a political move in order to keep stable relations with Turkey. However, Wales and 31 US States do recognize it.

Most European nations have statutes regarding holocaust denial, so I assumed he was making a crap thread about that. Nope, he was making a crap thread about Armenian Genocide denial which NO ONE cares about. I have never befriended a Turkish person in my life, but if you are anything like this in real life I can conclusively say that I will not in the future.

This happend 100 ******* years ago and you still carry it around like we judge you based on killing Armenians. I know it wasn't you, get over it. Everyone's family has shame in its closet. You don't see Tom running around saying "in England during the middle ages, no one ever shot plague ridden corpses into cities. It never happened. You have inconclusive evidence? Well the government of (state shoddy, corrupt, poorly run government) says it never happened and clearly they are right. Look at my government issued text book, it says it never happened!"

I don't judge pastoral nomads of central asia by the Mongol empires of the 1300s. Give it up, no one cares. Turkey, by being ******* retarded and not just accepting that this happened, is the only reason anyone even talks about it. And I don't mean to be dismissive and insensitive to Armenians, but it's true.

I'm pointing out the law that gets you arrested when you say something that the government dont like about a historical case.. and thats not only limited with press or internet, if you say this to your friend and someone heard it, you'll be imprisoned either.. you just cant joke about it.. thats something against freedom of speech which Europeans strictly thinks they have and thats an opinion..

Damien Duff is hilariously spot on, you made an arguement (a lame one) and then cos you got utterly put in your place, you pretend it wasnt an arguement, and just a joke to piss people off.

Anyone who has been on a forum for a few years has seen it more than a few times, someone comes in with a **** arguement, gets taken down by some "regulars", loses his balls so decides to pretend he did it that way from the start.

You had an arguement, or an opinion, but you forgot to strap on a pair this morning, and instead replied by trying to negate what you'd already said, saying it was merely a joke. Oh and abusing Shifty, bad form man, bad form.
