Hmmmm. Lemme think. Not mutch talent eh? What a dumbass thing to say. He might not have flashy ball skills or fancy celebrations, but he has HEART and DRIVE, and he can carry a whole team on his shoulders. Nothing you will know about.

I knew it. You Man Utd haters were waiting for this to slag off Man Utd. Yes, Keane should be fined, but he is not a sick bastard. And to the tool who said that he'll get away with it cause he plays for Man utd. That's a very stupid and retarted thing to say. It epitomises all the man Utd haters. You're just building up these silly and stupid thoughts in your head about Man Utd that just aren't true. That is just PLAIN stupid.

Not too many people slagging off United in this thread - most people are slagging off Roy Keane, if you think he is underserving of this criticism (for admiting he deliberately injured a player who has only played a handful of games since the incident, who slags off his teammates, who said United only won the European cup because "Bayern bottled the final", who admited to going out drinking before a big match) and is a fine, upstanding player then please present your arguments in his favour.

To me it seems pretty clear the guy is an a-hole, that has no bearing upon United. As for him 'getting away with it' - of course his playing for a big club will allow him some leeway. Do you not think if, say, Chris Riggott from Derby did the same thing to Beckham, deliberately injuring him and preventing him from playing for almost 2 years now, and then BOASTED about it he would not face a lengthy ban?

TROD, don't let Scott Parker get to you. He pisses everyone off. You're a decent CM Fan who uses this forum for what it's meant for, not for slagging people off and attempting to excerise an under-developed wit.

I agree with you guys, Keane proved to be an animal...but you cannot take away what is his, he is a great footballer. I find it very stupid of him to publish this book, just like Jaap Stam. This book might mark his exit from the United team as well from the fan's hearts.

Come on, give the guy a go. He let the emotions get to him, who can say they have stepped onto a sporting field and not let the emotion get to them. For example, if a guy goes in hard and misses the ball and gets you, you would be definately pissed off, its human nature to get them back eventually. That is what Keane did, I dunt condune his actions, but for people to start calling him a sick b*astard is over the top. It you say that, you obviously havent experienced it in the heat of the battle on the sporting field, whether it be soccer or any other sport.

Give him a go, I know he has done bad before, but any one would react the way he did.

I've been in some pretty critical and frustrating rugby matches but I've never flipped like he did, and I'm not payed £50,000 a week.

I see your point though, perhaps we are being a bit hard on him. He's done wrong (many times) and must be punished severely but after that we should let him get on with his football.

Yeah, but the thing is Keane injured HIMSELF when he tried to kick Haaland, then kept his anger stewing inside of him for almost THREE years - is that the sign of a guy who is playing with a full deck? I think there's more than a few screws loose upstairs.

Anyway, I think what most people find dispicable is that he's boasting about it and, what should concern United fans more, the way he talks about his drinking and how he criticises his United teammates.

However, I don't think United will or should sell him - he's an integral part of their team. I don't think he's nearly as effective as he was a few seasons ago but he's still a very good player.
