Typical BS from KONAMI of AMERICA. Do you know why they are not releasing any info?? That's because the WE6I is PES2. NOTHING HAS BEEN CHANGED EXCEPT THE WORD INTERNATIONAL. The roster is the same from PES2. Rivaldo is still at Barca and Ronaldo is still at Inter. Effenberg still at Bayern. Now you guys wonder why I asked if KONAMI does take the American market seriously. All they did convert PES2 from PAL to NTSC. Didn't even bother to update the roster. That is the REAL reason why they are not updating their website with any screens. I bet after the game is released, they wouldn't even bother updating the site. I am still getting the game since I have pre-order it from buy.com 2 weeks ago. I guess it will be my collector edition. But this is real disturbing from KONAMI. IF they are going to behave this way, at least make a decent editor so we can update the rosters ourselves in WE7.

What if the game is just WE6? Even PES2 is an upgrade (gameplay and engine wise) over WE6.

That would suck :(

PS: Closer to the game's release? WTF!!!?!? It's out in something like 2 weeks! :kader:

Hahah just played the game, it's EXACTLY the same game as PES2!! No changes at all, no roster updates, no gameplay changes no nothing!! It's just a simple PAL -> NTSC conversion! Oh my God am I disappointed.. I though it'd be something like or even better than WE6:FE..

KONAMI SUCKS FOR THIS! LAZYASS MOFOS!

It's only 39 USD. Besides, it's nice to have a game where I can just put in the PS2 and play without having to do the knife swap. I have a few mates who I want to show this game to on their PS2. Spread the word. The game is still the best footie game in North America despite the half-arse effort from KONAMI. I still can't believe they have not update the rosters. It's been five freaking months since PES2 was released.

And the other reason.... that you all should now.....[did I say US casual football gamers????]

So wanted to play WE6:FE after seeing how awesome WE6 was.
Maybe we get WE6:FE for winter and WE7 well into next year.

I think KONAMI just want to throw the game out there to see how well it does before being fully committed to the North American market. PES2 over WE6FE is the obvious reason because it is already translated. But I still see no reason why they can't update the roster especially when the game have a limited transfering system.

I highly doubted that we will be gettting WE6FE anytime soon. After all, there is no PES2 FE. The Japs get three versions within on year including the J-League while the rest of the world get one version. I think WE7 is coming in July. In the mean time, I am still playing WE6FE. WE6FE is the best version.

The warez version people have is WE6 with the PES2 patched sound files and US NTSC conversion patch applied. On every other Konami and Peer 2 Peer forum on the internet it's common knowledge!!! Also the rip from DVD to CD is corrupted becasue Konami spread their games across sectors and duplicate the game so it's actually twice on each disk. The only way you can rip the Konami games is in raw mode and you have to burn them in the same way otherwise the data is read at a different rate with the reader having to rotate the disk twice to read sequentially which is why people are having hang ups with it.

Do some research. What you have is not the final release version of WE6:Int!!!!!

Sorry mate. It is the final version. If you don't believe it, then you will find out when March 11 comes. It is nearly impossible to patched WE6 with PES2 sound files. The Japanese and English commentary don't exactly translate to the same thing. You can't just match the phrase exactly in both languages. Dont get me wrong, the game is still the best footie in North America. But after playing WE6FE, WE6I feel like a let down. Why?, because those of us who have played PES2 know its fault and KONAMI have not address those faults in WE6I. Especially when it is released 5 months after PES2. The roster are still the same as PES2. But if you are new to the series, you will like this game. Because nothing in the North American market comes close to it in term of gameplay.

Why not just download WE6:FE and play that?

I think Konami commentary is normally pretty horrific anyway to be honest. Maybe they should leave that in Japanese!!!!

Why do you think we were bitching about WE6I?? Because KONAMI could have released WE6FE instead of PES2 for the North American market. Even if it was PES2, the least they could do was to update the roster let alone the gameplay. All they did was add the WE6FE intro and convert PES2 from PAL to NTSC. Everything else in the game is exactly the same as PES2. It took them 5 months to do this..

Read the post by TristanAbbott7 again. He said that version that is out now is WE6 patched with PES2 commentary. You tell me, how it is so easy to patch the sounds files to match exactly the same because the two game have different commentary. One is Japanese, the other one is multi-language- English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.

Hmm.. I got the retail Konami Winning Eleven 6: International here in my hand sent by Konami. I guess it's a warez rip. LOL you doubters will be proven wrong when you get the game the 11th.

hehe yeah, and these warez dudes appearantly took the trouble to import ALL the rosters from PES2 and edit the intro, titlescreen, menu. Why would someone do that?
How come Konami sent WE6:I to my friend? Did they send a warez release? lol this is hilarious :D

what's the big deal if Konami didn't update rosters for the US Market???

US audience can careless about that.. and probably don't even know most of the rosters any ways.
