My god. I love the new photo shoot mode, I can just envision my new desktop wallpaper right now. (H)

It doesn't need to cables or fancy crap, just a USB stick to transfer the photos. Which is good.

Aye, nice. Shame you can't use the same method for a custom soundtrack.*

*not a criticism against the soundtrack. I just feel that'd be a canny feature

PAL GT4 to feature 12 more cars, extra features
Polyphony Digital is adding 12 more cars to the PAL version of GT4 as part of its efforts to continue to improve the game.

While there is still no information of the inclusion of 1080i or progressive scan modes, Sony has advised the game will once again be optimised for PAL format and therefore does not require an NTSC option. 1080 was originally an NTSC standard.

The 12 extra cars are:
* Mazda 2005 MX-Crossport
* Mitsubishi 2005 New Eclipse
* Volkswagen 2004 Golf R32(winner car of SEMA show 2005 - tuning car)
* Audi 2003 Nuvolari quattro
* Audi 2003 Pikes Peak quattro
* Chrysler 2005 300C
* Alfa Romeo 2004
* Alfa GT Auto Union 1937 V16 Type C
* Streamliner Chaparral 1967 2D
* Chaparral 1970 2J
* Jaguar 1988 XJR9
* Peugeot 1992 905B Evo 1 Bis LM

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe says the whole physics engine - and crucially the speed of the cars - is rebuilt for PAL so that all together the PAL version will be the highest quality version of the game.

Extra Features for PAL are:
* When making a pit-stop you can now change from A Spec to B Spec or the opposite.
* Carlos Knife Lee remix of Kasabian "Reason is Treason" has been remixed into Dolby 5.1 and used in a recut intro movie, which still features the Opera music opening sequence.
* Icons have been added such as "next licence test" to make navigation easier
* The map of GTWorld has been modified to make European cars easier to find.
* Ability to import data from GT4: Prologue - instantly clear first two licence test catgories / GT3 import a maximum of 100,000 credits (credits changed to Euro system)
* 2 player split-screen VS play using own memory cards, players' own garage
* European units of measurement for power, speed and torque (MPH, KMH, BHP, PS etc)
* Additional artwork for opening up courses and stylistic enhancements throughout
* Replays now show car name/ BHP figure/ tyre setup
* European music tracks set as default , but all others from American or Japanese version of the game are available.
* Vauxhall included as seperate manufacturer with 2 dream race car

i have been playing the Japanese Version since January. the game is good but the A.I. Sucks!! A.I. still follows a straight line, ram into the back of you when driving at 150mph.

big shame considering this is the 4th version of Gran Turismo.

The intro on the yank version's supposed to be crap. Luckily, us Europeans get a decent intro. Shame we've got two more weeks to wait.

Getting good reviews so far.

GT4 is the greatest ideation of GT3 that's possible on the PS2. There's no doubt that this game absolutely kills everything else around in terms of graphics, sound effects, and force feedback. The license tests, circuits, missions, hundreds of cars, and dozens of tracks all add up to what is still one hell of an addictive racing game. Get ready to sign over your nights and weekends because this $50 investment is going to absorb all of it.

I just bought the GT4 game, but I am reluctant to open the casing for a few reasons, one of them being the lack of a crash engine, the akwardness of the computer A.I., and thirdly the driving views (I've heard that there is not cockpit view when driving):(

What's wrong with the views? There's a cockpit, low chase and normal chase.

There's no damage because the car manufacturers don't want to see their cars fucked over, Forza got it though because MS were able to pay enough for the manufacturers to relent.

Yeah, I've already been to that site, but what I mean by cockpit view is to actually see the hood of the car when I am driving, I don't know if you understand what I am getting at:p

Best graphics on any racer so much detail but they sacrifice way to much for it. I hope the physics can make up for what was not added.
