Definately some of the worst football I've seen Ukraine play. Was tough to watch them play so bad...I know they are better than this. They just weren't ready to face the Spanish giants. Hopefully they will bounce back with some quality wins against Tunisia and the Saudi's.

Well IMO he was one of the best players over the pitch today. He has earned an spot without any doubt.

man, what a horrible match... that red card and penalty pretty much killed off the game, even though Ukraine didn't look up for it in the first half either (N)

gotta beat Tunisia and the Saudis now... hopefully they thrash Saudi Arabia like 7-0 with Sheva scoring 5 goals :(

Man, I knew that FIFA were looking to protect Spain in the group stages with the draw they got, by far the easiest group in the entire World Cup. But it looks like the referees decided they were going to chip in as well. Yes, Ukraine looked a bit shell-shocked in the first half, but I thought they came out better in the second. That is until the referee awarded one of the worst penalty/red card decisions I have ever seen. Even if you blame the shorts-tugging, that was outside of the box and thus was not a penalty. And Torres got a shot off, so it did not prevent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and thus was not a red card. On top of that, there were at least two obviously erroneous offside calls. I tend to be a bit conspiracy minded, but at the very least those referees should be suspended. You simply can't make mistakes like that and be allowed to continue to referee in the World Cup.

Still, Spain deserved to win. I predict they will win 7-0 over Saudi Arabia (with Saudi Arabia having 3 players sent off and 3 goals chalked off for "offsides") and 6-0 over Tunisia (with 4 Tunisians sent off and Sepp Blatter fellating each Spanish player during half-time).
