If you take out the penalty, it's still 3-0.

Stop crying.

First of all, accusing someone of "crying" is an extremely weak tactic.

Secondly, you're wrong. Before the penalty it's 2-0, 11 vs. 11, with the Ukrainian keeper making a good point-blank save. Do I need to explain the difference between that, and 3-0 while down a man?

ukraine didnt look like scoring, without the peno, puyol would of still beat your whole team, and then volleyed it himself, instead of passing it. (H)

Lol, well Ukraine isn't my team. As a Denmark fan I would actually be happy to see them get shelled. However, I think the unbalanced groups are absolutely shocking so the fact that Spain got help from the officials as well is frustrating.

its a pity Torres scored the goal after Puyols play...
that means he will start in Spains next games and everyone will set him as a star and prodigy 'niño' all over again...

Why not call him a star if he repeats this performance in the TOP competition of the world...?

Spain last goal was the best so far...pure team play, Puyol anticipation and that wall (2-1) was amazing...and it was in the last minutes of the match...

Puyol, Xavi, Torres :rockman:

Good game by ''El Tanito'' Pernia...

Shevchenko will score 10 goals because he is a Chelsea player.

Shevchenko got trashed because he is a Chelsea player (H)

Everyone knows Sheva is a box forward, he's not the type that will come to midfield and recover balls for himself then dribble around 4 defenders and score a goal.

personally, I'd say that is wrong. Sheva can and has always done that for Milan and Ukraine in the past. he is just that good. he can save a team on his own. but maybe asking of that againts Spain and all the defenders are on him is quite a hard thing to ask for.

Man, I knew that FIFA were looking to protect Spain in the group stages with the draw they got, by far the easiest group in the entire World Cup.
Are u kidding? It was a fair draw, we got lucky that's all. And it was not penalty, but if given it deserved a red card (last man u know).

But it's only a red card if he prevents an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. Torres got the shot off well after any possible infraction (the shorts tug). The fact that it was a poor shot doesn't all of a sudden make it a red card. I suspect Ukraine will appeal this and get it rescinded.

And even before the first Spanish goal, there was a wrong offside call for Ukraine, which would create a very dangerous situation for Spain's goal... an early goal by Ukraine could turn things around a bit...

However, Spain palyed very well and for their performance they deserved the large victory... it was those kind of days, when everything goes well for a team...

What about 2 penalties to Villa and Luis Garcia in 1st half with score 2-0 ?

Ehh?

Honestly, having referee help when you are winning 2-0 easily, thats not help.

That will f*ck us for the next matches.

Help is when then score is 0-0 there is a wronf penalty, in example.
