How can you be negative about this?

I really don't understand negative reviews for this game. For years reviewers have slagged off Fifa for churning out the same old rubbish for years with only minor improvements and behing far far behind pro evo. I, and think justifably so have been one of them because up until now this has been the case.

This time, EA have not churned out and update. This time, they've done what has been asked hence i am totally bemused with any negativity.

Fifa 360 is a completely new game, one that gives practically everything that has been asked for over the years. It's so different and so right, I can understand that it won't be everyone's cup of tea but if reviewers aren't happy surely they can see that EA with this one have put everything into this and really had a go.

For me, this beats pro evo hands down and I've always been a pro evo supporter. It plays superbly on the pitch, the right pace, passing is fantastic and players are no longer static waiting for the ball to reach them. You can jostle and run in front of players to intercept. It's fluid, and never pi$$es you off due to the game engine. The ball mechanics are the best I've seen. Deflections can go anywhere and may just drop just in front of your player to whack into the back of the net. Momentum and team chemistry really adds to the game to, it's true. If your on top of the game, opposition players are capable of losing it, keeping up your momentum. It really has to be seen to be believed and brings it a lot more in line with real football than pro evo. Pressure really does hit in, capable strikers can blaze over the bar or midfield generals hitting bad passes when the momentum of the game is against them. Superb

But off the pitch is also much better, the commentry is the best yet but have they got the crowd chants bang on? You bet. Not only that, this is what impresses me even when I play lowly Everton. When I score, after the commentators have praised the excellent finish, when the balll kicks off after the centre, if you listen carefully you can hear on the loudspeaker 'And the goalscorer for Everton.....number 9......James Beattie. What an amazing touch, I can understand this sample for players like Rooney and Ronaldinho but for Everton players like Beattie and Johnson etc. It's just such an amazing touch.

I was originally dissapointed with the lack of leagues, but at the end of the day, the ones I would play with are there and I'd rather the lack of leagues with the increased player detail that the game holds.

This has wowed me, since first play and a week down the line, I'm still finding new things to make me smile.

I never thought I'd be saying this anytime soon but Fifa has really arrived.

But as the headline says 'Why the negativity?' If it's not your cup of tea, surely you can see the difference and say well done for going back to square one. Whatever, this game rocks like no other fifa before it

I am absolutely LOVING THIS GAME!!!!!!! I haven't said this about a Fifa game, since FIFA 95' on the PC because it was just arcade and one of the funnest football games around at the time, but this game is so realistic and the pace is very fast and defending can be a b---- at times, it's great!

I am tripping everytime I play France vs Italy.

The only reason i can see for you not to like this game is because you like PES 5/6 or Old Fifa titles that are totally unrealistic.....

I downloaded the demo for PES 6 and I could not believe how Konami have managed to Sell such trash.its just a PES5 update the players move like robots and are totally predictable, 2 d graphics for the crowds, no feeling of realism what so ever, no licenses, no real commentry and they have resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 but the graphics are still rubbish because they do not utilize the power and special abilities of the graphics cards, after playing Fifa 07 on the 360 for a week as Mikey said , you still find things in the game that make your jaw drop.
Its the most realistic football game I have ever played (and I been playing since the First Fifa) its fun, its deep, its breathtaking.....the online game is just so exciting. Yes it does have flaws but they are minor issues that maybe easily corrected with downloadable content.
I'm lovin it more and more.........8.9/10... :)

Well, you could be right in some ways about why I don't like this game as of right now. I might change my mind once I play the game for a month or so but honeslty so far I don't feel that "realistic gameplay" like I do in PES/WE Games. I played FIFA 97/98 then I became Konami fan after ISS64 and 98 ON N64. I couldn't get enough of those games.. and ever since then I really never bothered with FIFA. Each time I play FIFA games including this one (07 on 360) I don't get that blood rushing through me.. or that pump..joy..excitement..whatever you wanna call it.

I have alot of questions about FIFA 07 because I simply don't know how to do some things.

When you pass the ball to your teamate he waits for the ball. I am unable to move him, make a run with him so he could receive the pass.. this results in a ball interception.. so how do you move the player once you pass the ball to him so he doesn't look like he's on crack ??

n00b question: i looked everywhere but i cant find that passing assistance..to set it to none, 0 or whatever..

is on settings> x360 controller or something like that, i think it may be, myfifa2007>settings>controller not exactly sure. But yes if you turn passing assistance to 0 and automatic player switch to 0, you can move your player towards the pass.. not everytime, but if its a soft pass you can.. or a long lobbed pass, you cant do it on thru balls though

I love this game. It's taken a lot of adjusting to after playing PES/WE for the last 3 years and if you try to play it in the same style then a lot of things don't work for you. Taking into account player momentum now is a whole new thing as taking your finger off of the spring button doesn't auto make them regain balance and slow them down immediately especially if you've been on a full sprint.

I haven't had any problems with making my players check to the ball, you just have to be quick as the CPU doesn't help you play catch up if you're slow to react like in PES/WE. My biggest problem so far is placing corners as I still keep reverting subconciously to how I placed them in PES/WE and the goalkeeper collects them 80% of the time from me.

Free kicks take a little work to as I'm yet to hit a real good one. I've had a few decent ones but not like some of the ones online opponents have hit against me.

Online you really couldn't ask for more. It's amazing how lagless they've managed to make a next-gen game. If I were Konami, I'd be offering big bucks to buy EA's online programming team because this is a lesson in how to make a sports game play online.

All in all, this is a great base to build on for next year which is more than Konami can say from their effort. Just having online squad updates is a blessing given how many hours I used to spend editing games.

Fifa now has a button(LB) that acts similar to the 'super cancel' buttons of PES/WE, so if you ever need to break your player out of it's zombie stance just tap it and your player should run.

I very rarely find a need to use this as 95% of the time my players move freely anyway.

Both games are realistic in their own way, don't fool yourself, Pro Evo is a great game but it is not 100% realistic, It is a heck of a lot of fun to play but a true sim of the game? No. FIFA wins in some categories, Pro in others

NOTE: Go to XBOX 360 controls and it will be on top of the menu showing all the button controls, right above the "player switching" meter
