I glance around the forums and cant help noticing that under some peoples sigs, they've got 'my teams'. Then they state 5 teams in which they follow, all of them big guns and some are even in the same league. What do you get from doing this?

I started following Leeds about two years ago, and to my luck they were champions league contenders and owned half the bloody england team. Two years on, Leeds are struggling at midtable in the football championship, have sold ALL there players and have started from scratch. Might I add that Leeds have had 5 managers since I started supporting them...

My point is, that I am a proud fan and if a random asks me who I follow, I will happily say Leeds United.

So if you support 5 teams, what satisfaction do you get when one of them wins a cup, or qualifies for europe or something? Nothing. Everytime Leeds win a game now I treat it as if we just won the FA Cup, which is not a bad thing IMO. If you support more teams, you expect at least one of them to do well, therefore, it defeats the purpose of following a team because you are expecting them to succeed.

People who support two or more clubs shouldnt be considered as supporters.

When you live in the United States and are so intrigued by so many people who are so damn good at the game, you can't help but support a lot of teams because you never see all that talent over here.

You can't exactly expect everybody to have a favourite small club. The reason why the big clubs have lots of international support is because they are the only teams that fans from around the world get a glimpse of.

I go to my parents' house to watch Arsenal at weekends, it's pretty good because the cable TV has a new sports channel and they've broadcasted all Arsenal games so far this season. It's long been a dream of mine to actually have a chance to watch a team through a season and now I have a chance to do so. I can also watch Champions League delayed.

I used to have a local team which I played for as a kid, but they've changed colours, changed name and changed stadium so it doesn't feel like the same anymore. 12 or 13 years ago they played AS Roma in the Cup Winners' Cup, wish they were still around... :(

In my heard there is only one team REAL MADRID REAL MADRID REAL MADRID!!!...but i do understand the argument that you like to see other teams play not necessarily "root" for them them, however you can't say my favorite teams -are-: blah, blah, blah...Like i said i like to see other teams play because they have some of my favority players like Kaka(milan) adriano(inter), but do i say that those are my favority teams of course not...there is only madrid
---not if, but when kaka and adriano go to madrid---my life will be complete:mrpimp: :rockman: :crazyboy: , call me what ever you want i'm just a soccer fan.
