How to install Adboards in FIFA 11 (Full verson)?

Hi guys!!!

I want to ask some help with the adboards. I have some of the premier league... and I've been trying to install. I have used File Manager (BETA 2), FIFA 11 Texture editor and Texmod. But I don't know - as many people - how to install Adboards. But my doubt is because I have seen that right now users are publishing adboards, and there's a patch with Bayer 04's adboards, also I have seen some previews of the game with adboards of another teams. And I'd like to install adboards.

And I know that CM11 would be an excellent Christmas gift. only a matter of waiting... But if this is possible now, it would be amazing!

Always been a PES modding man so i am a fifa noob. bit lost here with all the threads with just pics and more pics without any download.

From the tools mentioned in OP i only used txmod but that seems temp solution to editing. anything like kitserver or atleast afs explorer type tool to edit fifa games yet?

hi, i'm an 'adboard maker' :D so i will try to explain the process

- open TexturesEditor11/File/Open*.big/data3.big,
- search on the left list the file adboard_33_0.rx3 (you can use the search tool),
- go to Edit/Active .big file's into folder and then click on ExportFileToGamePath button,
- then go to the folder FIFA11/Game/data/sceneassets/adboard and rename the file adboard_33_0.rx3, erase the '33' and write the ID from the league you want to use:

it would be all you have to do in order to overwrite adboards from a league, maybe if you have the knowledge, you can use DataBaseMaster to 'create' a new file for an specific team adboard

Feribaper,thanks for the instructions.
I've followed them to the letter, but some Champions League adboards that I'm trying to insert just don't show ingame.
I've changed the adboard_33_0.rx3 to adboard_1_0.rx3, inserted textures over them (which show ok in the texture editor), but I've still got default ads in the game.
I'm playing 'exhibition' mode, btw.
Any ideas?

Hi Feribaper, and thanks for your answer and instructions. Now my doubt is if is it possible to install adboards for a specific team at this time, with the softwares that we dispose?

Or we must wait for CM11? - (Maybe that's the obvious answer... it will be easier... but now, with the new filesystem... xD)

@jonah - sometimes it happened to me, so at the end when you had imported your champions league adboards try clicking again the Active .big file's into folder button, it works for me (Y)

@pancho_dubo - maybe it is possible to do that with the DataBase Master tool, but i'm not an expert using it so i haven't try that... of course CM11 would be easier but we don't have news about a release date

I can remember that with the Texture Editor, I can't see the previews. But I can see only two... one with Coca-Cola and other trademarks; and I can't remeber the other adboard. My question is that if I can't see a preview, is it a problem?

there is no problem, this are the only adboards that have a preview image



maybe on the final version of TexturesEditor we can see all previews (Y)

Thanks for the tip buddy, but still no joy:S.
Guess I'll have to wait for CM11.

continue trying bro, at the beginning i had the same problem until i got it... remember that adboards only appear on ManagerMode, if you want to see them on FriendlyMatches you have to rename the ID to number 1

also remember to open TexturesEditor as administrator

Thanks for the words of encouragement feribaper :).

The textures I'm trying to import are .png files. You don't think they have to be .bmp's do you? Other than that I really can't think what's going wrong.

i'm only using .pngs so i don't think that is the problem... try again this basic steps:

-open Textures Editor 11 as admin
-open *big....data3.big (at FIFA11/Game folder)
-search adboard_33_0.rx3
-Edit/Active's big file into folder (here you go to FIFA11/Game folder)....ExportFileToGamePath (FIFA11/Game folder)
-rename the adboard_33_0.rx3 file to the new ID as this: adboard_(new ID, look the list up)_0.rx3
-open *rx3....adboard_(new ID)_0.rx3 (at FIFA11/Game/data/sceneassets/adboard folder)
-ImportTexture button and select the new adboard
*click again on Active's big file into folder (i always do it but someone told me that it isn's necessary)

Ok, I finally get it to work after reading the Texture thread. You need two files for the adboards. For example, I want to have adboards in exhibition. So, I need two files, i.e adboard_1_1.rx3 and adboard_1_0.rx3. Just copy and rename them. They are the same files.

Fribaper instructions are good, Just remember we need two files

I search to explain... in english is so difficult...

This year adboards are rendered in many ways. It depends by the stadium (to understand, take a look to stadium.lua and adboard.lua files) you are playing in. In a few of them you can set specifics adboards like in the past, in the others you can only see group-adboards with id's as someone wrote some posts above.

For example, you can set specific adboards (and change them, with dbmaster) for Amsterdam Arena and you will see your work in manager mode (not in friendly matches).

I have many reasons to believe that all the images you can't view with the texture editor (and also with my vb routines), are compressed in other graphic format (not dxt1/dxt5) because they must be rendered with a different procedure.
Of course it is only a hypothesis: it will take a long time to discover all secrets of this new game!

i'm glad to see that you finally can use your adboards, but really i'm just using the adboard_ID_0.rx3 file, i never copied the other one with the number '1'

anyway, it's good that you can use new adboards (Y)

Right, you need to rename even a RX3, because that's not loaded in the game _1.rx3.
