I don't think EA have implemented all the features for the CPU, which we the players' can use. I think it lacks depth so far, and although shows improvement, improvements aren't good enough to keep you playing for long, improvements are only good to say: "EA are on the right tracks".

Now I might be wrong and play the game again and think: “wow”, but I doubt it.

I like the improvements over last years, but for me this demo doesn’t show enough to keep me playing for a looong time, but I might be wrong…I hope I am and it might just be that I’m a bit bored with the demo, but also (and sadly) I believe this game will get VERY easy with casual play.

Also, there's a weird replay bug where the players' disappear and you see the ball moving on its own. *tut tut* EA *tut tut.*

I think the demo is very good and EA did a good work, you'll see when you buy it you won't stop playing it.Maybe that is bored sometimes because is always the same match and we want the carrier mode and all that new improvments, if you buy it, you will see...

i havent seen that replay bug at all... just because you cannot see the pc using off the ball.. doesnt mean they dont use it.. you can never see the cpu adjustments or anything like that.. is that way in every game.. even in that "other" game.. you still dont get a notice saying the cpu is changing the way they attack and the formation...
Either way.. I still find it challenging.. of course I dont have 13 hrs a day to play either like some people do.. so it works for me, I think is much better than any other fifa game ever made. The demo came out 3 days ago.. and people already made gameplay patches.. it seems.. they just wanted to patch somethin without even playing it first.... when patches start appearing.. a few hrs after the demo arrives.. you know people are just wanting to edit stuff.

I keep hearing people complain about a lot of stuff.. but somehow I guess I am playing a different demo I havent noticed any of it.

Yep. I sincerely hope we´re wrong.

Ps I haven´t seen the replay bug either. But I hear talk about a lot of other graphical bugs. My hope is that the demo was put together in a rush, and that the final game runs much better.
Of course it would take a miracle for that to magically alter the gameplay as well and make the game excellent.

But hope is the last thing to leave man.

people are strange.If the demo is too easy they complain if it's too hard they complain.And they don't want to take time to play the game and to know all the ins and outs.
I have to say I'm one of the older in this forum ( by age I mean )
so my approach is different.I'm not so impatient and have not this " teenager I want it all now " mentality

To Nick: I'm sure you're gonna buy it because this time you could use your knowledge of 2002 gameplay to make this one better
I don't see any MAJOR bug this year like the heading thing of last year

Yes, I coincide with Jomi, this year there aren't major mistakes, like the horrible and tetrical fifa 2003.This year is totally fixed.Hey Jomi, how many ages do you have?

So you don't see being able to score 75% of the time from 45 yard shots leaving the goalkeeper standing there facing forwards like he's been nailed to the spot as a bug?

I think one of the problems lies with this:

It may be too easy to break the defence and beat the goalkeeper.

If the keepers were harder the game would be better...

But I DO like FIFA 2004, I just feel that it's going to get really easy before I want it to.

Sure I have noticed that BUT I play with the default difficulty which is semi pro ( correct me if I'm wrong ) cause demo raptor don't allow change of level. I have tried the one from fifa online Italy but it f*** my game after a while.
So I think that on the upper level it will be corrected ( I hope so )
Another thing I wanna add is that it depends on HOW do you play the game.Every game has it shortcuts so for the moment I just try to build my play and avoid the long distance shot.
Demo is something to learn and study thoroughly .It will take me weeks to have a definitive opinion and I would only be able to judge the whole game when I buy the complete version.
But be also assured that I will get PES3 when it comes for PC so I can compare the 2.( cos I've never played this one 'till now )

that doesnt really worry me, as I havnt won on pro level yet! I do agree that at times the goalies are crap, although sometimes they arent.
I think this game could be a lot more addictive, as the gameplay doesnt seem so repetitive. Like in recent years every attack seemed very similar, but this year its more unpredictable, so it could be that every match is a new challenge. I could be wrong! we will have to wait and see!

Ok, I have decided to buy it and if I like it I will keep it, if I don't I will send it back, simple as that.

I just hope I'm very wrong about mastering the game as quick as last year.

It's like all these new feaures might not be needed, as all you need to know are the basics to beat the CPU without having to use Off The Ball and if this is true, then maybe all these new features are just there for a laugh?

is easy to beat the goalie once you break the defence... but I dont think breaking the defence is that easy.. other than that.. even in real life if you break the defence and you get a 1 on 1 with the goalie.. the goalies dont have much of chance
