Currently online PES takes barely any skill what-so-ever but I remain hopeful Konami will release a patch so we can play a simulation online and not the arcade clickfest it is now.

EDIT: To clarify, I found the 4-3, 5-4, 2-5, 4-1 results online of which like 80% were 1v1's by through balls because you can't control your defenders at all, rather boring. It's fun when you have a real match though but out of last 5 I played only 1 was fun and that was injury time winner with Bayern vs Barcelona (1-0) after my friend dominated the whole match. Currently waiting for a patch to fix online play.. or PES5's improved online play, whichever comes first.

That is not true. It doesn't lag if you play with a guy with good connection and maybe he have to be in the same countrey to. The freekicks are just the same for me when I am a client to (but I suck at them anyway, but I am improving) and maybe you can't switch autoswitching off but you can defend in other ways, if not, you suck.

If you are just bashing for the sake of bashing you shouldn't litsen to my advice but if you want to learn you should try play with a straight 3 player defending line or a 4 player, the risc with 3 player is that your wings will be crushed easy and balls can be played diagonal back from the sideline to a incoming midfielder or striker.

Also you should lighten up your pressure but I don't recommend any of this.

This is my philosofi: Play your own game, not defensiv just cause you play against a super player, opponents should customize their play beacuse of me, not me beacuse of them. Two key words in my play, both in real and in the games. Brain and imagination.

I get critised by boring Swedish managers but I know I can do stuff. I love the feeling to dribble from the backline and dribble the hole team to set up a player or shoot by myself. Both in the game and in real.
