Didn't shearer miss that penalty this season that knocked Newcastle out of the UEFA cup? I guess when you take penalties as much as Shearer it's expected that you miss some but he just doesn't strike me as someone I'd pick over Zidane if my life was on the line :P

Zidane. As much as I admirer Figo, he's missed a few too many in the last couple of years. Zidane is Zen like when taking penalties. Not even a sick stomach can stop him.

Really? isn't it Figo who takes the penalties in Madrid?

I don't understand why so many people say Zidane. I don't doubt about Zidane's quality to take penalties but ... there are other players who do it more often than him and with great results as well.
