I read the review and anyone with half a brain would know how biased that review was from the get go. During the review the guy kept saying he was a long time PES/WE fan. It is biased to have a fan review a game.
Let me give a nice review. This stands for all konami games on PS2.
KONAMI LEARN HOW THE F*CK TO TURN ON VERTICAL SYNC.
The game has more tearing in it than half-life one on a high-end PC with vertical sync off. In the intro to stadiums it is so bad that it isnt worth watching. See, an unbiased review would have stated things like that. Then again the fan that did the review wouldnt want to say anything that would hurt their little game.
And if any of you PES fans would pull your head out of your a$$. Look at the rating altogether.

OMFG I didnt know that an 7.5% difference was that much. I should be slapped for being so stupid. Was this just your comeback at me because certain parts of PES scored lower on the 5 core departments, or that the gameplay score was only 0.5 of a point apart.
It will never matter what you say to a PES fan. They believe that a game with a less than one point over rating wipes the floor with the other.
Once again I will say this.
Halo2 got a 9.7 at IGN, you know what? Compared to most other first person shooters.........................it is crap. GTA San Andreas got a 9.9 @ IGN. It Still got old after a month. A rating doesnt mean Carlos crap. Just like how WE8 was reviewd by a fan, Halo and Halo2 were reviewed by Xbox fans..............and a fan cant deny their game or system.
To sum things up here. If reviews were the end all of a game then wouldnt we all be playing HALO2 and GTA SA instead of our soccer games. I mean lets be realistic, since reviews are the main judgement of a game, those games scoree higher so does that make them better than PES or FIFA.

Stop bringing game reviews up to reasure yourselves that you spent your $50 in the right place.
dude, lemme ask: do you buy football games to play football or to watch intros? all hardcore & online gamers i know have "opening scene: off" because its just an unimportant feature (thats why konami made it possible to turn on/off, because its not important)... half-life 1 tearing on high-end pc? wtj?
ps: and pes4 intros arent that bad btw
and now to my simple review:
ALWAYS think THIS: no PES player has ever became a FIFA player, but _almost_ all FIFA players became PES players after playing it for a while. just an example: more than half of the PES gamers on this forum are former SG FIFA members who converted. and THAT must mean something right? right
oh, and 1 more thing. should i mention that PES4 won SG's best footie 2004 award from SG members, with getting about 60% of the votes. FIFA wasnt even 2nd (20% or something like that, lol). it was SI Games Football Manager 2005 on 2nd place.

But you should know that it,s not gonna make the slightest difference, in this forum.
Acutally, almost ALL the big gaming mags and review sites that I know of say that the scores for individual aspects of the game NEVER add up to the total review score, if you actually read those sources. It allows for a factoring in of that je ne sais quoi that comprises the best games, but may not necessarily be quantifiable.
Indeed, I can't think of one largely recognized review source that DOES just add up the numbers. So, actually, it's pretty poor research, and a concomitantly pretty poor point.
But let's not let that stop us!
