Got an assignment for Illustrator class, idea was to trace a drawn house and convert it into to vector style in Illustrator. Knocked up this piece of work, pretty happy with it as I've never really bothered with Illustrator before 'till now (studying creative media if your wondering). Done entirely in Illustrator and used 15 layers plus a load of sub layer in each layer.
I'll post some future Illustrator stuff here.

Being one who has never used illustrator, I would say its magnificent!! Do you have a pic of the original that you traced to compare with? It'd be interesting to see the differences.:)

Yeah for a first time with a program you have hardly used that is well wicked, The cartoon style is awesome and its just really really good, congrats Phil(Y)

Cheers, I didn't want to stray from my original drawing too much. The only thing I really altered from that was the shading, the path and the clouds which I came up with while drawing the house in Illustrator.

Oi, nice! :D

Today I got my first Illustrator assignment at school as well... I have to make 5 company logos with my initials... which really suck, seriously what can I do with 'K' and 'M'... they just don't flow together, it would be hard to match K with anything :confused: Not fun :S

'K' is easy -- Kit Kat!!!;)

I can only use the initials. I can't type a whole word. K is easy if you put it as the second letter, like HK or something because of the straight edges. But when you have to put K in the front... the two leg thingeys just don't go with anything.

what about having the "K" flipped horizontally which gives you the straight edge to work with the "M", The backwards "K" could be like your "trademark":confused: :)
