Not too sure, there is no telling what code influences what game mode. The only way you can tell is to look at the codes atop of them and determine what game mode they would work with.

My game randomly craps on my 5 month old pc. Sometimes I wonder if it is the automatic update of directx. Now I can't even system restore! Mostly, it is a registry problem.

I am going to format my PC, but i didn't do it yet because of my laziness :tongue:

Well I believe that the home/away and stronger/weaker teams codes for exhibition games exist. But 95% of the players only use career mode and that's why modders didnt't care too much about that and haven't tried to look for them. But that is an understandable issue, too

Still strange though, most of lines in product.ini affects exhibition as well, Hope Andrea finally succesfully reinstall his FIFA 12 :innocent_smile_1: and include in his next GP MOD a solution to make stronger/weaker teams look real in the field (and home/away issue too) if possible. Otherwise, game looks beautifull with GP mode, but a waist of time if I have to see another Barcelona 2 Hereford United 2 :biggrinx:

No. I spoke with Andrea about this several pages back. There are codes in the product file and in the db that can be tweaked to prevent the CPU from shifting into hyperdrive. Those hyperdrive cheat boosts are what causes the gameplay imbalance, where a tier 3 CPU team will run circles around a top-flight User squad.

In the product file, there are a number of values pertaining to morale change, emotion change, mentality change, team chemistry effects and home and away effects. Change the values of all those from 1 to 0. Also, there's a match intensity table in the db that regulates how intense the cpu plays, depending on score and time remaining. Default values are from -1 to 2. I set them all to 0.

Do you also consider that change home and away effects to 0 will make home team a little better even on exhibition games? When you referr to home and away effects you mean line: USE_HOME_AND_AWAY_EFFECT_FOR_PLAYER_ATTRIBUTES = 1 ?

Yes. Basically, I set every line to 0 that has to do with shifts or changes in team mentality and behavior. I started doing this months ago with Fidel's patch and I can't emphasize enough how much better FIFA is when the CPU doesn't shift into hyperdrive and start playing like 10 Messi's on crack.

I honestly don't know which modifiers have a greater or lesser effect on the gameplay. All I can tell you is setting them all to 0 makes a huge difference. It's not for everyone obviously as some people like the challenge of the CPU coming on strong when it's a goal down, etc. Me, I just find that stuff extremely cheesy and very poorly implemented.

I shut off morale effects, yes. I do not edit CPU difficulty, CPU mentality, CPU traits, Formation defending, etc. That second group of modifiers is what defines the good teams from the not so good teams, and that's okay. I only change values having to do with artificial shifts or boosts to the CPU team's usual ability and skill.

There are 2 final doubts:
1) Do you think that using line: USE_HOME_AND_AWAY_EFFECT_FOR_PLAYER_ATTRIBUTES = 0 the home team would play a little better on exhibition matches?
2)In order to apply match intensity and crowd sounds do I need to create a new fifa settings? or the changes on the db no need further actions?

Changes to the db don't require regenerating or new settings. If you change the product file, you may have to create new settings, yes.

For me, home and away effects is an artificial cheat modifier. I want all teams in the game to play to their talent and skill level, as they're rated. I don't want teams to suddenly play poorly simply because they're playing in a particular stadium. That makes no sense nor is it realistic IMO.
