damn you people always mean with inter

as hard as it is for me, i think inter will be tough to beat next season, if they manage to reduce their players list and concentrate on a group of players, that wont be good for juve and milan ( or roma  )

they have to many big names (and egos) to make them all happy. I think that for next year, they will be really dangerous. I think they're gonna do well, but i don't see them winning anything besides coppa italia and maybe the uefa cup.

well we all know that :) they wont win the scudetto for god knows how many years to come :) but still for sure they´ll be tougher than roma

I still think to win anything this season were gonna need canna.

cordoba gets burned too often and matrix, well i just dont like him....

i think that burdisso is our real hope for a solid defender and i could see a strong partnership with canna in the middle.

Ruben Sosa

I think Carini hasn't played for Uruguay since the World Cup...

Anyway, Carini is good, but regardless of how old Toldo will be next year I find it very hard to imagine he'll take his spot.

What a busy day on the transfer front.

Gamarra was resigned.

Zicu was sent on loan to Parma in exchange for Rebecchi coming back early from loan.

Cannavaro was sent to Juve in exchange for Carini.

Ventola and Sorondo were sent on loan to Crystal Palace

And Lamouchi was sent on loan to Genoa.

Anywayz I'm definately not happy that Cannavaro left, now the defence is overall slow. Though atleast Burdisso will now have a greater chance to start.

Gamarra was brought in to replace Burdisso's spot of being a backup.

Cesar wasn't bought either because Lotito didnt' agree to the supposed deal of Coco and Karagounis plus 2 million pounds for Cesar :|

Keep Cesar, we have Kily who has simply been phenomenal this summer in the Copa America and in the Olympics. Rebecchi was brought in to be his backup.

Though I'm especially happy Cesar didn't come because Emre has a greater chance of getting that LW position.

Overall it should be a very good season, and I'm expecting a lot from this team. Hopefully the defence can hold firm and not crumble. If so then a winter transfer will definately need to be made.

If Cannavaro's restaurant gets fire-bombed within the next week, don't blame me.

-he's got higher regards for Juve than us......that hurts

-taking a paycut aswell....ouch....hopefully this won't turn out to be another Bergkamp, Carlos, Pirlo or Seedorf on us and that Canna declines and depreciates in quality rapidly

Anyway, we've got Cordoba (one of the best defenders in the world), Materazzi (one of the best passing defenders I've ever seen, awesome technique, commanding presence in the air and a cannon of a foot) And the young phenom Burdisso so let's not despair too much about this ****up of a transfer deal by our management

Helping out Juve like this hurts more than him leaving, man. If it was some other club from some other league, it would've been less painful

Cordoba is a better man marker than almighty Maldini himself....he's also a better header defensively and offensively, much more of an efficient tackler, and faster (obviously)..........Marco, on the other hand melts down quite a bit and makes stupid decisions in his tackling which leads to penalties or dangerous freekicks, but on the whole, he's a fantastic defender....best short/long passing defender in the SerieA, man.

we'll still do well this season and will challenge for scudetto

if Canna's heart was at Juve, not much we do about that, doesn't want to wear the black and blue then we don't need him

anyway, I wish him well

Juve is looking better now but they still have some weak spots with Zebina and a lack of depth in midfield

as for us I guess I'm hoping Burdisso will develope and Cordoba will have a good season, I fairly happy with Materazzi, just wish we could have a little more class to line up next to him

will be fun seeing Matrix and Zlatan go at it though

as far as Coco staying I'm kinda happy, Cesar could have been an asset but I would like to see Coco given more chances, though Favalli seems to be first choice

in the end I still fear Milan the most, they have Crespo, pretty certain he'll score against us and that will hurt

and then Shevchenco, Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo...all seem to relish sticking it to us

so to Milan fans, IMO, you still got it, midfield, attack, defence, tops everyone in the league ATM

your still the ones to beat, looking foward to a great season

Camoranesi...needs to bounce back from poor season

Appiah...good bench warmer

Blasi and Olivera...honestly say I don't know much about them, aren't they young and still a bit unproven

blasi proved himself last season, thats why he is in the national team right now ;)
olivera is young but good, has a lot to prove yet but he has the necessary to do it, you´ll see. he´s gonna be our zambrotta in the other side of the field hehe
camoranesi is getting back from an injury, but he always does good stuf.
appiah yea is a good bench warmer and kapo so far so good in what i´ve seen. still has to prove himself too

I think the management sold him more because he has that pesky tibia problem making him highly injury prone. Thats why he went so cheap, because if he gets injured he could be out for a long time, unless he decides to do like Coco and have surgery.

I'm not praying that he gets injured, though I wouldn't be annoyed at all either.

My understanding is that the transfer was for Carini AND 10 Million Euros, in exhxhange for Canna.

It is a blow to inter's backline, but Carini could prove to be a star keeper of the future, and Toldo is well into his 30's now. Its the right thing to do to be secure for the future. Teams in america do it all the time, trade proven veteran players for college draft pick choices.

Inter still have a pretty decent backline, but no one in the world has a defence that can match AC Milan's. Everywhere else around the field, Inter is 5 star, but AC Milan's defence is something else, and it may prove the difference in the Scudetto and Champions League races this year.

I would have really liked it if Inter could have gotten Stam, but overall, I'm pretty satisfied with Inter's moves in the transfer marekt. Cannavaro for Carini (and 10 mil) is a move for the long term, and is the kind of thinking Inter needs, and has been lacking for the past 10 years, as opposed to trying to buy a scudetto each year. Inter's entire summer seemes to indicate a change in thinking, and a view to long term strength and stability.

AND 10 Mil ? nope. Its just a direct Swap. Cannavaro for Carini. No 10 Mil.

The entire transfer was valued at 10 Mil by the Italian stock exchange.

Juve didn't part with any money. Just thought i'd make that clear.

and as for that stuff you posted about Inter making a move for the future with Carini... oh come on.. Toldo has at least 4 years left in him at the top. Keepers last a long time. Besides, its not hard to find a good keeper in Italy.. they are a dime a dozen.

Basically Inter let go of Cannavaro for too cheaply. Carini was never in Juve's plans. Buffon is very young still and then there is Landry Bonnefoi (promising primevera keeper). If Juve had sold Carini they would have got somewhere between 5-6 mil for him. Instead they swap him for what they need desperately - a world class CB. Congrats to Inter for being so foolish and giving us your best defender.
