Coco had a major operation and he is coming back to fitness slowly so that he doesn't end up hurting himself. He participated in preseason and in some matches but right now he is just particpating in practices and such. I don't think he will partcipate in a real game until perhaps the 2nd part of the season.

Coco might not even get a chance to play if R. Carlos does come, which I know is unlikely but still...

Actually Mancini has been using Coco mostly as a RB during preseason and during Coco's last match which was against Nice.

BTW: Coco's right footed even if he does always play on the left.

That wont help us though as our right back position is covered with JZ and ZM.

Coco was such a good left back before his injury and im still hoping he will regain some of the form he had.

APPIANO GENTILE - The South American Nerazzurri returned to Angelo Moratti Sports Centre today after the midweek World Cup qualifiers. Adriano missed his plane in Rio de Janeiro and will arrive tomorrow.

:funny:

How's that funny?

Anywayz the game against Udinese will be a hard won. This team always manages to make things difficult for us, and surprisingly it was easier to beat Juve then to beat them last season. Hopefully the side gets back on track in the Serie A because we have to start winning consistently ASAP.

BTW here's the lineup I'm sort of expecting

---------------------------Vieri
-------------------Recoba

Stankovic---Cambiasso----Veron---Ze Maria

-Favalli----Materazzi-----Cordoba--J. Zanetti

--------------------------Toldo

Though I've heard talk about Mancini possibly trying out a 4-2-3-1. If he does then this is what I'd like to see...

-------------------------Vieri

-------Recoba-------Stankovic-----Veron

---------------Davids-------Cambiasso

-----J.Zanetti-----Materazzi---Cordoba--Ze Maria

--------------------------Toldo

Recoba and Vieri? why not Adriano and Recoba?

Adriano missed his flight..... it is not that funny.

Inter still face difficulties to win against Udinese. They are hard team to beat. If Inter lucky, Inter could win a single goal.

Inter need 3 points in this match.

I really hope that Facchetti and co. really go after this guy. He would be a fantastic addition to our defence. He's so composed, tall, and still pretty quick for his height. And at only 18 dishing out a good amount of cash to get him would be money very well spent. :rockman:
indeed Vincent is top class player, what a pitty your president didn't let go Eliawku in loan to RSCA and prefered to give him to Lecce. Now you don't have any chance to transfer him.

if inter gets through the next 3 games undefeated they deserve to win some silverware this season.

ADRIANO, VIERI SINK UDINESE
Sunday, 17 October 2004 17:09:33
MILAN - He might have missed his flight back to Italy on Friday, but Adriano didn't miss the target at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon. The Emperor inspired Inter to a 3-1 victory over Udinese with two first-half corkers and Christian Vieri made the result safe with the Nerazzurri's other goal - his first in a competitive match since April.

The Brazilian bomber gave Inter a dream start to their first league win at home this season with a thunderous long-range free kick in the eighth minute, then doubled the score four minutes later with what has to be the best individual effort of the Serie A campaign so far. He received from Juan Veron then ran half the pitch, dribbled three opponents and fired past De Sanctis.

Udinese pulled one back early in the second half through Mauri, who won the ball just inside the Inter box then placed his shot past Fontana. After several minutes of Bianconeri pressure, Christian Vieri restored the Nerazzurri's two-goal advantage. The Italian centre-forward took Adriano's assist past Cribari then poked home. Who said Vieri and Adriano can't play together?

Inter are next in action this Wednesday with a Uefa Champions League Matchday 3 clash with Valencia at the Mestalla.

Scorers: Adriano 8', 12', Mauri 52', Vieri 57'

Subs not used: 24 Handanovic, 20 Sensini, 22 Alberto, 26 Pieri,
Coach: Spalletti

Referee: Paparesta

Booked: van der Meyde 37', Pinzi 64', C.Zanetti 81'

===========================================

A very good win. The defense has improved since the last game, but the main man of the match was Adriano. A simply jaw dropping freekick and then an amazing run down half the field, beating 2 defenders and blasting it home. Adriano is simply on fire :rockman:

It was also nice that Vieri scored as well. Hopefully he has gotten over his slump. Veron also played well and so did the rest of the team. Van der Meyde's form sort of dropped but hopefully he gets back on that fine form he was riding early in the season.

Burdisso and Materazzi also form a formidable pairing in the backline.

Things are looking good for the squad, and the team is now in the 6th position and I'm sure we will continue to rise up the table until we overtake Juve.

Anywayz the next 4 games will all be tough.

Valencia (CL), AC Milan, Lecce, Lazio.

Each and everyone will be a tough test, especially the first 2. Though I'm feeling confident that Adriano and his crew can get the job done. :mrpimp:

Milan are the favorites to win the derby. They have everything complete in GK, defense, midfields, & the up fronts. :(

Argh...Mancini is still thinking who's gonna be #1 in GK starting line up. After Toldo didn't play against Udinese, I'm afraid Fontana, a-37-year-old GK, or even Fabian Carini will not play their best performance in this match. Our defense are also sucks. :(

Can someone tell me how Eliakwu is progressing? I've had a keen interest in him ever since his outstanding appearances for me in CM4.

he is still an inter player, and is currently on loan in Seirie B I think, where he is getting regular first team football. He is an excellent young player, and supposedly is even faster than Martins, if that is even possible.

The Milan derby will be very close. Both teams are now playing well. But Milans defence is too good. I fear that will be the difference.

But when you have the Emporer of Milan playing for you, I don't think it really matters who is on the oter teams defence. If Milan can contain the great one, they win. If they can't, they loose.

You're right Xjaymz, if anyone can overcome AC's defence it is Adriano. His goals were supreme against Udinese, just beautiful. But so was Pirlo's against Cagliari. :p

But.. Inter have kept no clean sheets in the Serie A yet so AC Milan will torture their defence. Shevchenko and Adriano, two best forwards in the world at the moment.

Inter may be able to beat Valencia after seeing them go down to Sevilla. But like Portugal (in a way) went down to Liechenstein, they followed on with an incredible win. I hope for Inter's sake the same thing doesn't happen. I want to see as many AC Milan-Inter matches as possible this season. :D

AC Milan will probably beat Inter but after that Inter can beat Lecce and Lazio.
