Sorry for my english it is bad but here is now what have I done:

!FIRST PART!

1. First I have instaled the game with FIFA 2002 Live Update.
2. I have change the command line in Properties in FIFA 2002-Live Update to this:
C:\Games\FIFA2002\Update\update.exe -id FIFA2002-url "http://trans.ea.com/games/EA_Sports/FIFA_2002/en/" -dir "C:\Games\EASUX\"
3. Soo, I started to download the patch, and I waited to finish about 4 hours.
4. Now the update have finish the download and you all wonders what it does?
- Well I got the whole new FIFA 2002 game on my computer.
5. I downloaded the NO_CD patch from http://go.to/gamefix
And you belive it? THE GAME WORKS...
I cant sey if the update fix the problems because I havent play the game enought yet.

Soo, You are all right, when you download the udate you download the whole game.

If you will do that, be sure to change the -dir "C:\Games\EASUX\" (in my way) to to COMPLETELY new map.

!SECOUND PART!
Now the question is, if this work for all games from EA Sports or from EA.
1. First I have change the command line in FIFA 2002 Live update to this:
C:\Games\FIFA2002\Update\update.exe -id NHL2002 -url "http://trans.ea.com/games/EA_Sports/NHL_2002/en" -dir "C:\Games\EASUX2\"
But his doesnt seem to work because the update cant find the NHL 2002 map in Castanet.
2. BUT because I HAVE NHL 2002 I have looked the command line for Live update in that game, and I now KNOW what is the patch to NHL 2002 on Castanet.
3. Soo i change the line in FIFA 2002 Live Update that the update perceive where the NHL 2002 is.
4. Now I know that the NHL 2002 also have the Update soo I RUN the FIFA 2002 Live Update with the command line to NHL 2002.

Soo lets go on.
The update for NHL 2002 was completed in 4 hours and now I have on my C:\Games\EASUX2\ the WHOLE NHL 2002 game and its working just fine as original. I have downloaded the NO_CD patch from http://go.to/gamefix and yes the game work.

If you want to download the NHL 2002 from EA sports Castanet just write this in FIFA 2002 Live Update:
C:\Games\FIFA2002\Update\update.exe -id NHL2002 -url "http://trans.ea.com/games/EA_Sports/NHL_2002/NA/" -dir "C:\Games\EA2SUX\" and you will start downloading the FULL NHL 2002 game.

Soo I HAVE PROVED THAT EA_SPORTS HAVE their full games on Castanet.

But now the third part. I will try to download the game which I DON'T have on my computer or on my CD.

Well the anser is YES YOU CAN, but you need to know where is that game on Castanet. Soo you need somebody to tell you what writes in his Command line for the game.

This is not our problems.....it's EA themselve stupid let us download their game for free.....
I will post a new topic to let other know how to do this!!!:D :D
Finially, EA pay our money back!:cool:

First of all, you need a update programme for EA sports' game....
then change the target of download, u can download a whole game!!
Use some no-cd patch, you can now play the game!!!

Yes of course!
First of all , you should have installed any "check for update" programme! That you can find it at most of the EA sports' game!

Then click start>programme>ea sports>check for update..
then right click the check for update button, choose the last one (I don't know what it call in other version of windows, but have (R) in it!)

Now you can see a line "target"!
for example, if you want download a "patch"(haha I think you know what I mean)which over 500mb for FIFA2002, u can change it to :

C:\Games\FIFA2002\Update\update.exe -id FIFA2002-url "http://trans.ea.com/games/EA_Sports/FIFA_2002/en/" -dir "C:\(file that you want the patch download!)"
Then a 500mb patch:D will download to the file you want!
Then goto "that" website for download the non-cd patch!replace to the old one exe file!

That's all!:p I hope you will understand it!

Xzero, i have download FIFA2002 "patch"2 times, my friend done it too.....Someone say that it will have download problem when suing Win2000 and WinXp
Are you sure all the command line correct?:confused:

Well,
You CAN'T just put "F1_2002\" - in command line - this doesn"t work.
You MUST know excacly what to put in command line or you CAN ques and tryes.
Well here is the problem. Not many EA Games have Live Update soo forget multyply downloading games.


Well this is not EA Christmas gift to any of you, it is just EA way to do it.


What I wanna to say is that:
1. This way to have a game is craizy :) . First you need a good line. Secounf you must REALLY want some game. Third, you must know what to put in command line to download it IF the game has Live Update.


Well F1 2001 or 2002 DOES NOT have Live Update soo forget to download it....

I have downloaded NHL 2002, NHL 99 and FIFA 2002.

i need a bit of help

i insert the NHL 2002 cmd line, started d/l it said 9hrs (i got a 56k modem) and in the castanet folder in my EA sux DIR (i was too lazy to change dir) they are lots of folders like

"f9"
"0e" and stuff, now, when u finish d/l, is it still like that?? or is there all the files there?

yeah all the files will be there when it's done, they're compresed I guess...

You can config them when in the 'select your controller for a team' screen.

ok. So if i have FIFA 2001 and I want to download FIFA 2002 what do i have to do?

Just tell me to what i have to change the command line, because I tried to change it, but it wouldn't work.
