Well first things first I suppose, how about getting a red card for a mundane tackle with which I actually made contact with and won the ball!
Trusty ref decides to run out and give a red to Roy Keane after I win the ball from Hasslebaink. So very lame. Then a couple of minutes later two of my guys are hauled down in their box without a single call.
Another thing, why is the shooting so terrible in PES 3? Is there an actual way shoot the ball with something other than the outside of your guys foot?
When I have Scholes within a meter of the net, why does he chip shot the ball over the net? Even I know enough to tap it in from that range.
My players always want to wind up nice and long to make the weakest of shots on net!
And how does the whole freekick system work, can you actually put spin on the ball or does your moron player do it for you.
I'm sorry, but I am quite frustrated. I have been trying to play PES 3 again and get a decent comparison with FIFA 2005 gameplay wise. There are many things I like about pes, like the dribbling system, but when it comes down to shooting, well, the game stinks. Super floaty, slow motion shots are all your guys do.
I know people complain about the apparent "rocket system" EA employs in the FIFA series, but seriously, when I kick a ball in real life, and watch professionals do it on TV, it looks a hell of a lot more like in FIFA than in PES. You don't tend to see many balls which are hit with the outstep and go exactly straight.
So if there is something perhaps wrong with how I am playing this game tell me, but as it looks now, I'm going to be hanging up and closing the door on this bulky player modeled, space ball, unliscenced product, and switch back to FIFA forever. (Gameplay in FIFA 2005 is at least on par with PES 3)

). Stepovers, lay offs and fooling the keeper are all possible and the curl is just as visible as in a real match. Depending on who you take the free kick with, obviously.
