Ok, so have we settled on a resounding "yes" to this question? Has he even coached for more than 5 years? He has to do it over the long haul and honestly it is very stupid to assume Jose is the best coach ever. Don't be stupid. 3 good seasons and all of a sudden the man is the greatest coach ever? Yes. It is very stupid.

What he did at Porto was impressive. However, someone like Adriaanse pulled something similar off at AZ, no he didn't win silverware, but he got AZ into the UEFA Cup semi-final, AZ are 2nd in the league and are playing lovely football. Most of the credit for that goes to Adriaanse. And to those who say Porto is a "small" club, AZ is ten times smaller than Porto. It just goes to show that more people are capable of pulling of amazing things with clubs...

First, let me tell you that Adriaanse is no Mourinho. There's no way you can compare them, and I even like Co. If he wins the title this year I'll be happy.

If you compare Mourinho to a god you're overrating him; but that can be said about pretty much anyone. He IS over-hyped, but that doesn't mean he's not good. Tarantino, Beckham, the English NT, Marijuana, they're all overhyped but that doesn't mean they're not good. (C)

Infesta, no one said that Mourinho isn't good, infact most of us have pointed out that he is ONE OF THE BEST. I really can't see why are you so defensive about Mourinho, there is no need for that, everyone with a brain will tell you that he is a great manager.

I think it's not fair saying he's already the best coach ever... maybe he's the best coach in the world in the present but not of all-time yet... he already achieved a lot and his future seems sucessful, still we have to give him time to win even more trophies and then we can call him the best ever.
