Im goin fo Italy, but damn if Vieri is out, then Del Piero will have to carry the load of Totti and Vieri, and we all know how DP performs under pressue. Poorly.

i just wanna see giggs in a major tournament. wales will have to be at their absolute best to beat italy this time. italy 2-0...if vieri is out, things may look different...

Vieri looks set to miss the match from what I have heard. He limped out of a training session after only a quarter of an hour with an aggravation of the knee injury he sustained when playing for Inter at the weekend.

He's quoted as saying that he felt pain whenever he changed direction or tried striking a ball. Sounds pretty serious that and unless he makes a big recovery, it looks as if he could well miss the game.

And even if he does get into the team, he still won't be 100% fit even if he starts on the bench, which will give us a lift.

Without Vieri and Totti, it'll certainly put pressure on Del Piero. As a trio they looked deadly in that recent 1-0 win over Germany, but without the other two, Del Piero may seem to be lack support, though he can still pose a significant threat of course.

The news of the injuries from the Italian camp, combined with the news that Danny Gabbidon and Andy Melville look to have overcome their injury problems, will give our lads a much needed boost. We know we've got to win or draw to stay in the driving seat and it's all about our mentality on the field.

I know we've got a decent chance of winning. We did it before and I can't see why we can't do it again.

RAI International will have the game on in the USA. Its usually just on digital cable or satelite....dunno why you would expect it on normal cable. :p
go to a bar! or even some Italian cafes/restaurants will have it.

yea i know i will have to do that. thats how i catch most of the games... i swear man it sucks being poor and havin to bootleg cable... ah thanks man. for the game i think it will end up being a tie. you would figure that wales has to play hard and give it all they got since coming off the loss to Serbia. I would think that we are all in for a good match.

I just heard on the news that Trappatoni is going to gamble on Vieri even though he faces a last-minute fitness test tomorrow on his injured knee.

Looks like they might play him despite him not being 100% fit.

Tacchinardi will also have a fitness test as well.

As for us, Gabbidon and Melville still have not trained and are receiving treatment on their injuries and both hope to play, though it's looking likely that it'll be Page and Symons at the back.

whats with everyone always badmouthing Panucci all the time?? he doesnt deserve the treatment he gets. There isnt a better Italian RB than him at the present, and i can guarentee hed start for most teams in the world. I admit his defending AT TIMES can be less than stellar, but with Coco always being injured there isnt another alternate.

This questions tough to answer. As far as captaincy goes, Cannavaro has replaced Maldini. As far as a place in the team i guess you can say Zambrotta replaced him as he has now converted from RM to LB.
