Juve fans always come to Del Piero's aid. He might be a Juve legend (is he though?), but what the hell has he done for Italy? He never won a title with them, he choked during a lot of crucial times (missed 2 or 3 great opportunities to finish off France during the Euro 2000 final, just to remember you).
And he gets injured easily, plus lately he's just scoring easy tap-ins and he isnt doing much at Juve. It's the truth aswell, because when Nedved has a good game, people dont make a fuss about it, they just praise him and that's it. Because most of the times, he has a good game, the fans are used to it already.
When Del Piero has a good game, all the fans get fired up, people celebrate and stuff. Mostly because it's kinda rare nowadays to see Del Piero having a good game consistently. Maybe i'm saying this and he goes on to score a hat-trick against Madrid, but well, it's likely that he doesnt.
Baggio should always be played ahead of Del Piero, in 1998, in 2000, in 2002 and in 2004. He's a footballing genius, and Del Piero will never be better than him. Never. All coaches Italy had were too thick and dumb to realize that i guess.
About the Serie A coverage, yes, it sucks pretty much. Here, the channels that broadcast the matches get it from TLN too i guess, so it's always foggy and sometimes you can barely see the players or the ball.
